DRIVEN + VIDEO: A Review Unlike Any Other — Doug DeMuro Samples A Multi-million Dollar Ferrari 250 GT Lusso
Doug DeMuro deserves respect.

Although I've playfully teased at the YouTube presenter's skills in front of the camera, the reality is this. He is one of the best compensated automotive reviewers, globally. And, he's doing it on his terms.

That means no fancy production value and a "just the facts, ma'am," Joe Friday approach. And like most reviewers, now and then he flubs a point. So what? It's bound to happen if you spend enough time in front of the camera. I know as I did it myself.

This week DeMuro posted a very cool review. That's because he's branched out from reviewing the latest, all-new products. This time around he drove and detailed a vintage Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, which is one of my favorite cars of all time.

Rather than waste any more time, check out his review of the V12 F car, below!

The Ferrari 250 GT Lusso is one of the most beautiful vintage Ferrari models. Today I’m reviewing this Ferrari Lusso to show you why the 250 Lusso is worth $3 million.

He definitely needs to flail his hands more, but he's a lucky bastard to be around that car.

Old Ferraris are delightful, my choice would be a 365 GTB/4 Daytona. I also am a sucker for the Lamborghini Islero and the Iso Grifo.

Loved my Islero, the Daytona is well, a Daytona the last of the hairy chest Prancing Dinosaurs, the Grifo is a really nice car a little difficult to get in and out of, (ass first swing legs). But the best all around GT of that era is the Ghibli, especially an SS in euro spec. I probably miss that more than any of the others I’ve owned.

I found a Grifo in Georgia (of all places) in horrible condition. The guy had no idea what it was and was glad for me to buy it and haul it away. It was a basket case.

Make mine a 275 GTB/4. Saw my first one(actually heard it first) come over a hill in 1967 while attending the Newport Folk Festival. Its image has been burned into my brain forever.

That must have been a really sight. My goodness.

Three cheers for Newport!

The sexiest Ferrari ever made was the 65 250 GTO. I have seen many of these beautiful beasts at the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic at the Breaker Hotel. The very car the GT40 was created to destroy after Fords rejection by Enzo to buy Ferrari.

The 250 GTO is something else.

Have yet to see one in the flesh but as you note, Cavallino is the place to come across those rare birds.

One year they had 7 of 39 copies made and even did some track time which is super brave to be racing cars that now sell for $50M but mind you this was around 12 years ago before these things really shot up in value.

The Cavallino is coming up soon any chance Spies may be there to do some coverage?
