Audi's New Q8 Caught Cammo Free - Should BMW's X6 Be Worried?

Audi is putting the finishing touches to its Q8 SUV before it goes on sale this May as a rival to the BMW X6, as shown by new pictures of an almost completely undisguised pre-production prototype.

The look of Audi's future flagship SUV has stayed true to that of the Q8 concept, with an SUV-coupé roofline, LED headlights and tail-lights and a broad, eight-corner, single-frame grille all remaining in largely unchanged forms.

I do not get this thing at all. Looks no different than your typical 2-row SUV. Doesn't even look like it's trying to be a tall coupe. As a "flagship" SUV, I would imagine the price of this would approach $100K. I just don't see paying that for something like this.

It makes sense when you consider that it is really a 1/2 price Bentley Bentayga (exact same platform and architecture) with upgraded engines and interior.

The Q7 is like the Land Rover Discovery and the Q8 will be like the Range Rover.

Its a solid strategy as long as the Q8 has a luxe interior. Smart.
