Genesis Opens First Dedicated Dealership - Should It Be The Benchmark For Things To Come?
Launching new vehicles is complicated enough. Launching an entirely new brand is another matter entirely. But that's the process in which Hyundai finds itself right now with its Genesis brand.

It's already revealed the new G90, G80, and G70, and will have many more to come. But now it needs the showrooms in which to sell them. And this is what they'll look like.

What you see here is the first dedicated Genesis showroom, which the automaker itself will open in June in the swanky Gangnam district of Seoul. With 14,000 square feet of floor space, the two-story facility ought to serve as the blueprint for the dealerships it'll franchise around the world in the coming months and years.

I hope so and this is long overdue. I am wishing Genesis well.

I said it a million times, shift all the resources from KIA and whatever sport image they're trying to do with the Stinger and focus on Genesis dealers and crossovers. Hyundai is down because they don't have enough crossovers in the crossover's market.

Kind of pointless. Hyundai/Kia/Genesis sales have been tanking.

Yeah, make you wonder why Hyundais' 16% sales dive in 2017 wasn't splattered all over Autospies.

You are known by the company you keep. Genesis needs its own dealerships to stand alone and above with better ambiance, better service, better cars.

There are plenty of closed car dealership buildings all over the country. SO - at least they have a lot to pick from!

They are wanting bespoke dealers actually. Their architectural plans are very specific in that regard.

One other thing that is really good about this is they get to determine exactly where they want their dealerships. Where I live there are three Cadillac dealerships but they’re all in the suburbs. Most of the big money is located in The midtown area, where you will find a Mercedes-Benz dealer. As Cadillac already has too many dealers the likelihood of them having one relocate to the midtown area, where the money is, is a remote at best. A significant problem of legacy dealers
