#NAIAS: WHICH Automaker Needs To ROCK The 2018 Detroit Auto Show?
Every year we look forward to the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). Not only is it a BIG auto show for us here at AutoSpies, it's also one of the top programs to reveal concepts and all-new production vehicles to the market.

It's not as exotic and flash as, say, Geneva and Paris, but Detroit still is the Motor City. It's important for both traditional reasons as well as being home to the Detroit Three — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford and General Motors.

But it's not just American auto manufacturers that need to show up and impress at the Detroit show. Everyone needs to bring something a bit spicy to make an impact.

Having said that, I was just wondering: WHICH automaker needs to ROCK the 2018 NAIAS the most?

WHICH company is in desperate need of a surprise or something that will get people talking about the marque again?

What say you, Spies?

Well, the problem is, I don't know who is supposed to be debuting new cars at this show, save a few.

I mean, you could literally go on about almost every make and how they need to make a big splash because sales and/or reputations are suffering. The only exceptions might be Mercedes, Audi, Honda, and Toyota.

Although we have already seen most of the new Chevy Trucks - from the outside - Chevy really needs to hit a home run with the interior of the trucks - as well as with engine/efficiency choices.

If they can demonstrate that they can reduce the weight of their trucks as much or more than Ford - AND - retain a steel bed - that will be a point of choice for the construction industry among others.

Unfortunately - the new Styling is still abysmal - does not look that much different - and is old looking - the GMC looks much better - and unless something is different - they will still end up a follower.

Supposedly the mid-engined Corvette will NOT debut because of the proximity to the ZR1 announcement.

A new Dodge Challenger or Charger that is no longer LX based would be a shocker.

I'd like to see an all-new Tundra after 11 years. Not just some cosmetic updates.
