The launches and reveals are happening fast and furious this morning. There's a lot of information and images coming from all over, so, please bear with us.

From what I've seen so far and from what we expect to debut today though, it may be tough for everyone to top what Toyota's luxury division, Lexus, just trotted out for the Motor City to see. As with all of its latest designs, it's going to be polarizing. But, at least it makes you feel something.

Called the LF-1 Limitless Concept, it is a study that looks into the future of what Lexus' flagship crossover may look like. What I am having trouble doing though is placing where it would fit in the company's portfolio.

Is this a GX replacement? LX replacement? I assume the latter but it's difficult to tell its proportions. Being nearly 200 inches long and featuring a 117-inch wheelbase I suspect it's a vehicle that would challenge the Land Rover Range Rover. Why? That's because it has the same footprint.

When will Lexus learn that consumers don't want to buy a car that can eat their children? They have got to change the front of their cars if they want to be taken seriously again.

I love the look. If they can bring it to market seemingly unchanged from concept to production like they did the with LC, I will be VERY interested.

If they can bring something exciting like this to market, the stodgy Germans will need to actually exert some effort.

I like that is seems RWD/AWD proportioned. Could it be that the disgusting GX will go bye bye?

Nope. A longer wider RX. Whatever. Ask the captains of industry who love their Lx570's if they would consider upgrading to this concept first before you give it the green light. There is a reason the Range Rover looks pretty much the same year after year.
