#NAIAS: RAM REVISITED! Are These REAL-LIFE Shots Of The 2019 RAM 1500 Making YOU Think It's A STUD or DUD?
The 2018 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) was a bit quiet this year if we're honest. While there were quite a few debuts, there was nothing that made us say "Wow!"

But, I will say one thing: Two reveals will mean a lot for the boys and girls who rely on pick-up trucks in America. That would be the all-new Chevrolet Silverado as well as the all-new RAM 1500. Both appeared for the first time in Detroit.

And, to me, the RAM made a helluva appearance. All new, inside and out, the RAM makes a case for itself. Check out that massive front grille and the neat little storage pockets in the pick-up bed. If you ask me though, probably the biggest improvement is its interior.

Frankly, it's amazing to see how pick-up trucks have evolved into luxury machines over the past couple of years.

With the RAM tightening the sales gap between it and the Silverado, General Motors should be concerned. That's because the Ford F-150 is very far ahead of both and I think it's safe to say the all-new generation Silverado and RAM will be battling for second place.

So, what say you? Is the 2019 RAM 1500 a STUD or DUD?

This is a huge win stylistically.

Fantastic, a very attractive vehicle. The Chevy is too fussy. Ram over takes Chevy in 2018

Actually - I think the GMC will be the big winner - its styling is much better than Ram or Chevy. And - since it has higher average sale prices - it is a profit center for GM - that none of the other manufacturers have. I would be that the combination of Chevy and GMC is more profitable than Ford is in this segment.

It depends on things we do not yet know -like MPG and weight. It is nice to through around "weight reductions" - but until we can compare apples to apples for all three - including MPG - we will not be able to really see the difference.

Still - the one thing that is different is the HUGE difference in size of the Chevy/GMC bed - that extra width will be a great sales point in person.
