European market gets aesthetic upgrades on latest 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee S
Jeep is obviously busy and has been seen all over the globe, from revealing the Grand Commander in China, preparing the Renegade for a facelift, and launching the refreshed Cherokee. But even with all these projects lined up, the automaker has not stopped from adding a new special edition version for its European market. We’re referring of course to the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee S that customers from several countries in Europe can already order.

What makes the range-topping edition of the Grand Cherokee stand out from the rest of its variants would be the fact that it sits on 20-inch wheels and it features blackened lower and upper grilles in the front bumper

JEEP Failed to reach its sales targets this year - and it is highly unlikely they will reach those projected for next year as well. While those projections were/are overly optimistic - it still gives pause. It is because the lack of reliability is finally catching up to FCA (In all of their brands) - OR - could it be an indication that the SUV conversion is starting to run its course - and the sedan/suv market is trying to stabilize.

While most here will be with the first - I suspect BOTH are happening.

Owning a 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit Diesel it has been totally reliable. A fantastic machine that offers a lot more than it's German competition for a lot less money. Daughter owns an 2016 Renegade (50K miles) and it too has been reliable. In the past owned 2003 Liberty and 1999 Grand Cherokee neither of which ever had a problem. If they were that bad they wouldn't sell over a million a year. Tremendous brand loyalty among owners.

I agree about the market stabilization you mention. It's bound to happen.

The move to crossover everything models ONLY works if you're on the leading edge of the trend.

Jeep has surfed that sort of well.

The epic fail is not bringing the Grand Commander (dumb name) to markets outside of China. It's a handsome, right-sized LWB Cherokee that has winner written all over it. I'd be crass, throw "Patriot" on it, and send it over.

Reliability in FCA has a lot to do with how "Italian" the design is. The Rams, Challenger, Charger, and 300 are the ones to get in the FCA stable. Fiats and Alfa Romeos are nightmarish for reliability. Maserati is semi-OK.

Sergio needs to find a buyer and I honestly think that Chinese ownership would improve quality.

If anyone wants a truly terrible car, get a Fiat 500L.
