FCA And Ford Hand Out Massive Bonus Checks After Profits Rebound
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on Thursday said U.S. hourly workers would get profit-sharing checks averaging $5,500 after the company's profit nearly doubled in 2017.

The checks reflect another bonanza year for the U.S. auto industry. While industry sales were down slightly, they still topped 17 million, just off the record.

Besides Fiat Chrysler, Ford said it will be handing out $7,500 profit-sharing checks for an estimated 54,000 hourly unionized workers.

It's easy to have profit when you aren't investing in new product for Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, or Maserati.

I'd rather see the big firm do this with their profits instead of stock buybacks. But you can be assured there are some hefty checks being paid to senior executives.

Senior leaders are responsible for so much more than most people can even consider. It takes a lot to successfully run companies of this magnitude in this competitive environment. They deserve everything they get and still don’t make as much as moron actors or pathetic athletes. To have the best one must pay for the best... like actors and athletes...

@zjeg1987a Looks like the intolerant, welfare-loving socialists voted you down because they hate capitalism.

What I want to hear is @MD defend Sergio's salary using @xjug's CEO loving logic. I am seated and have my popcorn bowl ready. You can comment on Marrisa Mayer too if you have some free time.

@xjug1987a Has it ever occurred to you that @TheSteve = @Canadiancomments? They have to be the same person.

So here is my question. Please explain why Ford's stock price has been in the crapper for the last 3 years and both GM and FCA's have either gone up 50% or doubled. Why doesn't Wall Street like Ford?

@mini22 - Great point. I have no idea either. It makes no sense.
