Trump Takes Credit For Auto Industry Doubling Down On America - Is He Right?
President Donald Trump said in his first State of the Union address that the auto industry is a prime example of how the economy is benefiting from his trade and deregulation policies.

Automakers, he said, are investing domestically again because of the pro-business climate.

“Many car companies are now building and expanding plants in the United States, something we haven’t seen for decades,” the president said late Tuesday. “Chrysler is moving a major plant from Mexico to Michigan. Toyota and Mazda are opening up a plant in Alabama and we haven’t seen this in a long time. It’s all coming back. Very soon auto plants will be opening up all over our country.”

The decision to move or build a manufacturing plant takes more time than yellow hair has been president. Once again he takes credit for doing something that was already happening. I am sure he believes he is responsible for the sunrise too.

Trump is MAGA. I wish we had him instead of our self proclaimed "feminist", brain dead, jihad loving moron Prime Minister Mohammed Trudeau.

With the US lowering its tax rates -corporately and private, Cana-duh has lost it's only advantage over the US and many large Canadian companies will now start moving to the US.

Many high income professionals are making the jump too as our corrupt, incompetent & socialist Leftardish government treats these overly taxed professionals like criminals and implies that we are all tax cheats. This coming from our asshole Prime Minister and Minister of Finance whom both have offshore holdings and and tax structures themselves...

Trump takes credit for things he has no business talking about or taking credit. He is a total embarrassment and has already done immense damage to our image, credibility, institutions, ethical norms, etc. Thankfully some of the country is waking up to how dirty all of the politicians are and are finally expecting more of our "leaders".

The record shows Trump habitually takes credit for virtually anything that can be interpreted positively. He recently claimed credit for 2017's zero fatalities in US civil aviation. And like a textbook example of a bad manager, he blames others when things don't go as he likes. It's an all-too-predictable pattern.

But it's a good thing he let us know he's such a genius, and such a stable genius, at that! Had we not known, we might have mistaken his behavior for some morbid pathology. Hail the unerring, stable genius!

The bottom line is simply this. It is all about the 2018 mid terms. OL yellow hair has his supporters at 37.875% and obviously will continue to keep them. It really gets down to the independents and minority voters to come out and vote like they did in Alabama. Trump could have the White House set up like the "Chicken Ranch" in Nevada while he is gulping down his "Big Mac" for breakfast. Stormy should be his alternative first lady. If any thing is going well in this country it must all be due to him. If anything is going bad now or in the future the fault will always be Obama, Hillary and Bush. Remember he calls Kim Jung Un "Rocket Man" So if you find all of this OK you must be part of the 37.875% of Trumpians or a Republican Congressman or Senator. All the power to you. If you re in any way bothered by this you will need to vote Democratic in the mid term elections. Because what is worse than Trump is Republicans willing to keep him in office while they create and make up secret classified memo's on the FBI due to their own interpretations. That in itself should be disturbing to independents and minority voters. So if you want to control, remove or nullify Trump you have only one option. The choice is yours. I gather you can tell I'm not part of his fan club. However we live in a free society and have the right to vote and express our opinions as we wish. Oh just to keep this on cars: he has done nothing to help the "auto industry" other to be a blowhard or looking for a photo op.

llaroo: My hope is that the "checks and balances" built into the US system of government eventually come to bear, and right the wrongs currently in place with Trump and his politician supporters. I *believe* legal authorities are building the case for at least impeachment of the prez, and possibly even criminal charges.

We must remember that even though history conclusively proved Richard Nixon guilty of criminal activities and crimes against The State and The People of The United States of America, all while serving as President, and that he voluntarily resigned to avoid impeachment hearings, the majority of Republicans politicians at that time voted *against* Nixon's impeachment! In other words, law, ethics, and decency were not the priorities of the majority of Republican Party politicians. "Protecting our guy" and "getting our way" was. We see the same thing happening today with Trump and his cronies.

Let's see how this all plays out. Trump's henchmen are already tumbling like dominos with federal indictments and guilty pleas, already transpired. The wheels of law appear to be progressing, and working correctly, though not quickly enough for many of us.

Heads Up, AutoSpies: I've been refreshing this page and watching the votes, and I spotted a pattern! Over the course of a few minutes, the anti-Alt.Right posts got voted down at a very predictable rate: A time period equivalent to logging into a different account (for the purpose of vote skewing), successively. Batch of down-votes. Pause (to log in to new account). Batch of down-votes. (Same length of pause). Repeat. Too much fun! :-)

I have faith in the American people and AutoSpies members. I believe when it comes to the influence of the Alt.Right Nazis, and the forces of hate and derision, their strength is much less significant than they would like AutoSpies members to believe. The hateful are only a small piece of America. I believe we'll see proof of this in the fall midterm elections.

There was time in the USA - when both parties had their liberal and conservative factions. THe republicans had a group of Liberals led by Jacob Javits - Nelson Rockefeller - Case from NJ - and others. AND the southern Democrats were largely more conservative than many Northern republicans. But the important thing was - because they ALL were part of the system - they learned even before Congress - that Government was the art of Compromise - and most Americans are neither far right or far left - they are largely centrists who right now have NO party in their side.

I have testified in front of Congressional committees several times - and while there are some idealized members on both sides - the fact is virtually all of the people(of both major parties) there are HIGHLY intelligent - decent hard working individuals - who are giving their life to the good of the country - when they could be making LOTS more money in the private sector. THe problem is - the people who wrote the constitution never anticipated that the country would break so violently into two Opposing forces - knowing that people exist of ALL levels of thought on the matters. Yet - there are people like me - who are not members of either party - who based on our opinions - get accused of being BOTH on various occasions.

Regardless of how the elections coming work out - Compromise is still the only way to get something done in this country - and it remains my hope that we can identify that things we need the country to do - infrastructure repairs are just one - that deserve a united effort of ALL the elected officials of the Congress who are actually US Citizens. Until that time comes - I can only see that the division in our elected officials makes great news headlines - but today - there are still over 13 million children in the greatest country in the world that go hungry every day. There are millions of seniors who daily make a decision whether to EAT or get the medication they need to live. ANd today - in my state - many local school district do not even teach cursive writing - and those children cannot read a hand written letter. The bridge from NJ to Pennsylvania - that connects the NJ Turnpike to the PA Turnpike has been closed for months due to a crack in a major section of it (And both of these are toll based roads that take care of these things even better than other highways are taken care of. And today - people are DYING from the Flu. ANd yet - we have a congress that steadfastly spends its time defending the right of a TERRORIST to buy a weapon in the USA without a background check - when over 90% of all people agree to that check. And there are still over 400,000 people on the US Island of Puerto Rico that do not have electricity.

The fact is - regardless of the party you belong or your political bend - there are so many things we NEED to get done that BOTH sides agree on - for which we do not even have the money to do - that we have too much of a basis for com

A genuine concern is a substantial anti-trump, anti-Republican backlash in the midterms, followed by the tyranny of a Democratic majority that's bent on getting even, or punishing the "bad guys." qwertyfla1: Like MDarringer, you are like those Tiki-Torch Nazi marchers calling anyone who opposes them haters. Fortunately, not too many people confuse Nazis as the good guys :-)

Equally fortunately, both of our records speak for themselves in AutoSpies forums, where Alt.Right-ers (such as you, Matt, and a handful of others), constantly spew hate, derision, racism, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and other forms of bigotry (AKA the *actual* hate), while I merely shine a spotlight on you, and call you out for what you are. I'm sure you'll have the heartfelt endorsement of other Alt.Right-ers, white supremacists, racists, etc., in hating me, and my posts, something fierce! The down-votes show I have earned their ire :-)

For the record, I hold the following view: Not all trump supporters are Nazis and racists, but virtually all Nazis and racists are trump supporters. They sure as hell would not dream of supporting Hillary or Bernie ;-) I also hold the view that millions of well-intentioned Americans voted for trump, believing him to be an opportunity for positive change. I believe many of these millions have since realized they've been conned, and that explains the declining support for trump in polls, and in recent elections. If this fall's midterm elections result in shocking Republican losses, consider that an example of what I'm talking about. I'll be here to eat crow if that doesn't come to pass.

Thought for the day: Calling the people who oppose Nazi "haters", does not actually make them haters! It's just the opinion held by the Nazis.

Added clarity for my previous post:

If someone opposes Nazis, and you call them a "hater," that does not make them a hater, though Nazis believe it does. It's just a Nazi opinion that anyone who is anti-Nazi is a hater. Remember, American GIs fought to the death AGAINST Nazis in World War II! And now, America has a president who see Nazis as "fine people." Holy sh*t! Times sure have changed in America... and not for the better. Unless you're a Nazi.
