Veteran Tesla Owner Gives The Good The Bad And The Ugly On The Model 3

Lots of reviews discuss Model 3—its performance and driving attributes, its interior and exterior design, the basic functionality achieved through the landscape display and a myriad of other features.

I’ve now been driving my Model 3, one of the first in South Florida, for about a week, and I’d like to share some of my observations about the car, without repeating what most of you may already know after seeing reviews performed by mass media and big name Youtubers.

Well, at least this guy has actually driven one, which is more than I can say for the majority of people posting here who have decided they hate it based on a picture.

Cars have tried having a central gauge cluster(Saturn did) - and people clearly and overwhelmingly preferred having it in front of them. If they are all electronic to begin with - I do not see a good reason WHY they could not just have plug in points on both sides of an otherwise similar dash - and move it to your preference. This is just a move to be CHEAP.

People ALSO have clearly preferred having some amount of manual control of some functions through Knobs and dials - instead of pure Touch controls on a screen as well. WE understand the reason (Also being cheap) - we don't like it - period.

Frankly - IF i have to worry whether the window has closed after the door is closed every time - this is another reason why I do not care for the car. And as for the Handling - if this is supposed to be the EV for the Masses - a heavy sports sedan ride is not going to be a plus for the average buyer.

Just like DeNysschen - Tesla is ignoring the desires of the average buyers with its design - and giving the buyer what they want was once the hallmark of a good sales organization. Add in the other problems with their distribution and sales model - and the lack of local service - and eventually other manufacturers will produce competition that will not have these problems - and be price competitive as well.

So.
When does the Model 3 actually get produced in mass numbers?
When does Tesla become profitable?
