Is The Scandal Rocked UAW Becoming As Out Of Touch And Irrelevant As The DNC?
The UAW's cornerstone principle of solidarity among its membership is under growing pressure as a federal corruption investigation widens and more details emerge about the luxuries purchased with millions of dollars intended to train workers.

Three rank-and-file members sued the union in January, seeking hundreds of millions of dollars for what they claim was collusion with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Separately, former UAW Vice President Norwood Jewell, who oversaw 2015 contract negotiations, became implicated in the scandal.

Unions are business cancer and the DummyCraps are no better. Do away with both useless, self-serving corrupt criminal organizations and MAGA.

It's time to do two things:

(1) Make "right to work" the law in all 50 states.
(2) Ban unions from ALL activities other than negotiating labor contracts for those they represent

How irrelevant is the DNC? Democrats received tens of million more votes for congress in the last election. Illegal gerrymandering resulted in the RNC taking control of the house and senate. Also 3 mil more votes for the democratic pres candidate. This is not a representative government nor a democracy.
The Supreme Court just threw out two gerrymandering cases which is bad news for republicans in the midterms. We will witness how out of touch the DNC is when the democrats take control of both houses of congress and impeach the wanna-be dictator.

This site has long been run by a bunch of FAR RIGHT - more conservative than the Tea Party operatives that will only admit to be "Agents". THEY are led by Steve Bannon using another name (matt something) - and they have continuously degraded anyone is further left than Lucifer from them.

Ignore them = what they want is attention - like that idiot in North Korea - and in giving it to them - they cannot hold things back. I am waiting for them to decide whether they want to eliminate our government entirely and go back to Royal British rule.

Yet again you're wrong.

Hey, MDarringer, can you explain "right to work" laws? It gives all leverage to employers. It is named to make it sound better. However, in most right to work states the average has lower income and fewer benefits. But, Hey, MAGA for the top 0.5 %, right?
And it is not democratic to not allow only unions to not be involved in politics.
You are okay with billionaire casino owners and corporations being allowed to do so. You must be a Putin fan as well. If anybody disagrees with your position well then lock them up, just like Drumpf saying congressmen who do not applaud his SOU address are treasonous.

@Truthy

Unions benefit workers in exactly ZERO ways.

You're just a triggered Communist imbecile that fears the DNC losing money if we would take away the unions' ability to extract political slush fund money against the will of the workers.

The fact is that American unions don't give a rat's ass about worker rights. They have union shop deals and cash rape workers against their wills to turn it over to the Democrats exclusively.

When bank robbers do that same thing, we arrest them and put them in prison.

I'll take Hillary's one rant over the insanity of Drumpf's daily fact free tweets and assault on the constitution.

Again - why are YOU comparing the Unions to anything else - much less the DNC - which will be taking back Congress this all.

Unions do have their place - among them - they have managed to maintain Retirement Benefits which have literally disappeared to 401Ks in other companies. ANd they give the average worker some leverage in many situations that they would otherwise not have any place. They have gone too far - I admit - in some cases. And in others - economic cycles have been against them.

Just as the conservatives and liberals trade places in congress every few years - Unions will continue - in industries that require large labor forces where the companies fail to offer competitive wage and benefit packages (remember - it was the UNIONS that brough medical coverage and Disability coverage to workers first).

Lets look at some real facts. In 2017 only 10.7% of all workers belong to unions, down substantially from 20.1% in 1983. No where near as relevant as they once were. Just as interesting 34.4% of current government workers belong to unions versus only 6.5% for the private sector. There is a message in these numbers and its tied to your local taxes. Lastly 40% of all workers in NY State belong to unions and only 2.6% in South Carolina. NY is one of the highest taxed states and under the new tax laws likely to loose residents (especially senior citizens), suffer business closings (move to other states), fewer new business startups going forward, higher unemployment, brain drain, etc. It ain't the new laws...its the failure of a union supported democratic administration to reign in the unions and spending that will cause NY's doom. Votes and money contributions are purchased from unions in return for ever escalating union wage hikes. Plain and simple.

Government unions indeed should be illegal. California is about to say to millions of government employees (teachers, police, fire) that they have no pensions. The danger of a government union is that it gives the illusion of protection for employees, but when all is said and done, those people worked for free.

But that's the typical hypocrisy of the ALT-Left. They are pro union because that funnels billions of dollars into their political coffers and then when it's inconvenient to honor a solemn promise they say "fcuk you" and cash rape hard working men and women one more time.
