DRIVEN + VIDEO: FIRST Reviews Of The 2019 Audi A7 Are Out...Survey SAYS?!...
When the first-gen Audi A7 made its debut, it was a landmark moment for the four rings. That's because the marque had finally stepped outside of the very comfortable Audi box.

While there's no question that Audi has been producing some handsome products for years, they all felt a bit...safe. There's no fun in that.

The A7, on the other hand, brought an all-new level of daringness and sophistication to the company's design ethos. Luxury buyers ate them up in droves. So, now what? Well, the second-generation car is here and, frankly, it seems to be a rather close evolution than a revolution.

Is that simply going to be enough to make the A7 stand out from its highly competitive direct competition as well as the vehicles it will — eventually — get cross shopped with?

The first verdict is in. We'll let YOU decide...

The new Audi A7 Sportback is a sleeker version of the A8 luxury limousine, with sleek looks and a sportier demeanour. Does it have what it takes to face the Mercedes-Benz CLS?

I like the outgoing A7 better.

I dislike Audi's new interior direction. The 'low-cowl' Audi cockpits of the past were beautiful and the only ones left in the lineup at the Q7 and the A4/5.

Sad.

Completely agree!

A4/5 is much better IMHO. The worst so far is the all-new A8.

Sounds like one thing hasn't changed with the A7, lack of road feel.

I dont personally care for this new interior direction. I prefer the interior of the A4/S4 and Q7 to this

Agreed 100 percent.

Maybe it is a better user experience though? Will have to experience before coming to a conclusion. I will say this, I think it is a rather dreadful looking cabin. Far cry from the magnificent interiors of Audi products from not too long ago.

its stunning and I look forward to seeing it up close at the Auto show. Its an A7, not an S7 or an RS7 just like its competitors, judge the performance on the model. A7 is the least performance oriented level.

I disagree about the interior being a step backwards. I like the new all-touch screen interiors and believe it will be the way forward for interiors.

I've viewed a good handful of reviews and they all say the same, i.e., predictable.

For me, this design fails on many levels. The exterior is more mom's errand car than a car of statement. The interior is cold and sterile, and too many screens. Even if the driving experience was more exhilarating, this wouldn't be my choice.

And this guy needs to practice how to talk without his hands.

Bland styling, iffy ergonomics, lackluster interior, and benign steering mute what is probably a brilliant car.

I like the new direction because I like touch screen way better than a knob. I think the interior would look better in a different color than the one in the video. I never liked their tan looking seats. I think overall the looks good and I still might pick one up. As far as the feel from driving, my SQ5 drives great and so does my A6. My wife and I argue about who is going to drive the 3 series because it just sits there. We both feel tired when we get out the BMW but both enjoy the Audi's.

The interior is stunning. The quality of materials is outstanding. Most of those who call this interior "sterile" should look at the a Tesla, any Tesla.
They are the definition sterile.
