#GIMS: TEASED! It's What You've Been Waiting For! The FIRST Glimpse At The All-new Toyota Supra
The Toyota Supra is one of the brand's most iconic cars. While it was well known and lusted after in the 1990s, the fuel to the fire was added when it starred in the very first installment of the blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise.

And now it's getting reborn.

Speculation has been driving the enthusiast community up a wall for some time now. And, frankly, none of us are any wiser.

What we do know is that it was developed as a joint project — a la the Subaru BR-Z — with BMW. BMW's variant will yield the Z4 and Toyota's end result will be the all-new Supra. Rumors suggest it will make use of a six-cylinder powerplant and will not have an optional manual, which is obviously quite sad.

As of now there's no word on if it will make use of natural aspiration, forced induction or something of the hybrid variety. Stay tuned for the Geneva Motor Show.

Given how glorious Lexus' sports cars have been we can only assume that the all-new Supra will deliver more of the same. Toyota never falls flat with its sports cars from what we've seen.

Wishful thinking it will be $60k-$70k, then it should be around for awhile. But im afraid it will be closer to $100k, especially if equipped with hybrid technologies. Then sales will die out quickly just like the GTR after the die-hards and those that gotta have the firsts burn out.

If it's $100K, it will be laughed out of existence.

If it's $60-70K, its sales will die before they begin.

If it's $50K, it will be another also-ran for sales the the GT86.

If it's $35K, now we're talking.

The wing says "ricer" and "ricer" say "low rent".

Has to be around 50K. No chance it's in the 30s.

If it's $50K There's no chance it will sell well.

1 - It should be a Lexus -
2 - There was a time when Toyota was not automatically thought of as a boring - reliable transportation device - and they could sell performance cars. That time has passed - and the TOYOTA name really does not belong on such a car anymore.

Like the old expression "The faster I go the behinder I get!" The Supra was once a top class solid performance car at a reasonable price. In the age of ever higher horsepower offerings and dynamic performance by Mustangs, Camaro's, Demons and Corvettes the current environment may not be kind to this offering. At 335hp and an elevated price it may just not hit the sweet spot it once occupied beyond a small Supra loyalist base. After initial sales the annual volume may fall to very low levels. Time will tell.

I don't disagree, but at least it will have a better chance than wilfred's 60-70K version.

Sales will be difficult to predict. Just don't think there's a large market for seriously sporty cars (not talking muscle cars) no matter who makes them. I'm more interested in what the car can actually DO. That's more important to me than conjecture over how many they sell over the years. Toyota should be credited for even building the thing.

I don't really understand why Toyota needs BMW. Toyota could have used the Lexus LC platform, give it an inline 6 with either a hybrid or turbo setup, and priced it in the 50-65k range.

Doesn't that work both ways since it's a joint with BMW?

Likely to be price similar to the BMW ($50k to 70k), but should out perform up to $100k competitors.

I am not a fan of this pseudo-Supra. I would never have agreed to do a joint car with BMW. Or use a BMW engine or as a base for one. Would Chevy do a joint Camaro or Corvette? This is not a happy day for Toyota fans. They should have just fired up the plant and pumped out with previous Gen model with a few tweaks and a hopped up motor.
