STUD OR DUD? 2019 Ford Focus Caught Cammo Free At Portuguese Photo Shoot
Rather than bringing the fourth-generation Focus at the Geneva Motor Show next month, Ford has announced it will unveil its Golf rival at a standalone event scheduled to be organized in April. The good news is we won’t have to wait until then to see the compact five-door hatchback as the Focus IV has been caught on camera without even an ounce of camouflage.

Another unimaginative design in the compact segment, this time in hatchback form. Take the Ford grille/log off and this literally can be any other brand's hatchback.

I like it. Clean styling without the gimmicks you see from the Asian brands.

I completely agree with you. The perplexing thing is that rumors are now circulating that the next Fusion will be a plus-sized Focus. So it makes me wonder whether the Focus sedan that is plus-sized will make it to market in addition to the next Fusion.

The current Fusion Platform has been used for the new Lincoln Continental - and the Chinese Taurus. I expect it will replace the Old Volvo platform for the Next Ford Explorer as well. It happens to be a pretty good platform.

Replacing the Fusion with an "L"version of the Focus will not work in the USA. That they tried to force true European class cars on AMERCANS doesn't work well - and making the Fusion smaller is - even if it only LOOKS smaller - they may as well not produce the car at all. However - that MIGHT work in Europe.

What I suspect FORD is doing is replacing the Ford Taurus and the Fusion with ONE Vehicle so they can retain Police Car sales. They already have the work done on the Taurus (In CHina) - now all they need is some styling.

I believe that GM will also eventually replace the Malibu/Impala that way. The Impala could be a Malibu "L" as well.

I can imagine what the front will look like but the side has me thinking Mazda 3.

Styling looks mainstream and non-offensive, the trick will be getting current owners to be repeat buyers given the problem plagued current generation.
