DRIVEN: What Is The First Korean Muscle Car REALLY Like?
You might not think it from the pictures—I certainly didn't at first—but the Kia Stinger GT is a damn fine-looking car. Over the course of a four-hour drive, I got three lingering glances from pedestrians and other drivers alike, and one very enthusiastic thumbs-up from a woman crossing the street. Granted, it was on the Deathrace 2000 course of a road beneath the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, so she may have simply been glad that I stopped at the red instead of swerving towards her and mashing the gas, but I'm fairly certain she was reacting to the sleek chunk of Korean-sourced sheetmetal stopped in front of her.

Along with the $299/month for 4-cylinder model lease, and it still managed to sell just 1344 units last month.

For as much as this car is constantly pimped out for journalists to fake-drool over (did Kia really team up with GQ magazine to promote this car as a "style icon"?), will the investment pay off for the brand? Maybe Kia had the wrong cars in their crosshairs. Instead of touting the Stinger as a viable alternative to the 4 Series and A5, maybe they should have chosen the TLX, Q50, and IS lines. But then again, that's where the Genesis G70 is going to hit.

@cidflekken, the Giulia sold 853 units nationwide last month, but in your world, it's a ground-shaking success.

When have I ever made a single comment about Giulia sales? I've actually called the Giulia an outright failure due to its incredibly bad reliability issues and doesn't deserve to be on any "Best" lists. So, WTF are you even talking about? And I've made it very clear that I will not even consider going into an Alfa dealership until they made drastic fixes to their reliability issues. So, please, enlighten me. Oh, you know what, don't bother. It's just you being Darringer again.

Precisely the point! You're setting fire to the Stinger because you're an anti-Korean bigot. You've not used that level of venom for failures like the Giulia and Jaguar XE. You're the kind of person who--if forced to choose between the sh!t-for-quality Alfa or a reliable Kia--would buy the Alfa because it's European and you'd never be caught dead in a Korean car.

WWWWhat? Are you off your meds again? Seriously, dude. Your penchant for fitting insanely illogical and/ or false comments to fit your own personal arguments is at its peak in this post alone. You need help.

How many of you that constantly put this car down have actually driven one? I would guess none....complete badge-whore snobbery going on

Overall not a bad looking car. Pretty integrated design from front to rear. Thankfully they don’t subscribe to the oragami stylying ethos!

Watch out, they are of the few giving 10 years of warranty over the powertrain and that is remarkable, you have to believe in the quality of your product. There are a lot of people that will by that car to test the durability....Kia a least is improving more than all American Car Industry and very near of the Germans, and that's only the first real attempt. Foreseen, they will success (sooner than later).
