It still looks like a flatten VW Beetle to me.

Make that "flattened".

I agree that its lines are reminiscent of the Beetle's, especially with the hatch trunk; however it lacks that vertical symmetry of the Beetle.

You could almost fold the bug in half and both sides would be flush with one another...not so with the TT. The cabin is pushed back a tad, the snout is a little longer, and the roofline sweeps and slopes back more than the beetle's "half circle" look.

Not to mention performance, haha...

The Beetle looks like a rolling peppermint patty. This TT looks like red hot tamale!

I would liken this car to the design of a carrera.

golfer38- The first time I saw the TT I thought the same thing. I still feel the same way. Like a smushed bug. Glad to hear it's driving a bit better though.

Damn I'd love to drive this car. This is almost hotter than the RS4. Wow gimmie gimmie.

trying to say something positive about this Audi design but I just can't. I just cannot do it..I'm not saying its good or bad at this point..but I just can't say its attractive piece of work..rather it looks like a loaf of bread. R8 is pretty damn good looking however and does not look like the rest of Audi's loaf of bread design.

Apparently, the TT RS will have a 2.5L inline five cylinder (exactly half of the Gallardo's engine), but with more than half of the power- expect 350+ hp. It might just anihilate the SLK55 AMG.
