Wow. That’s a lot of cars being “sold” in the US then shipped to Mexico. Had to put it out there before someone else posted it...

This is extremely impressive given the almost 10% YTD sales increase is occurring before the new A8, A7 and A6 are on sale here in the U.S. market. Furthermore, even the old and outdated Q3 continues to rack up monthly sales increases. Audi's newest models, the Q7, Q5 and A5 Sportback are the leaders in terms of growth meaning Audi's strategy is working very well.

You can rent the A4 from Silver Car and only a few SilverCar lots have the Q5. The ones that do don't have but a couple. Benz and BMW are trying to start subscriptions with their car lines and are already at Hertz, Sixt, Alamo and any other rental car company you can think of.
But again, if they wasn't doing anything then nobody wouldn't be hating, so please go ahead.

As does "selling" them in the USA, backing the sales out, and exporting them out of the country.

So was BMW's strategy of selling its 3-Series vehicles to Hertz.

With over 100 consecutive months (mote than 8.3 years) of sales increases, uninterrupted by seasonal variations, economic climate, geo-political factors, or shifting demographics, it's a wonder that Audi isn't the No.1 automaker on the planet.
Yeah, that was thinly veiled sarcasm ;-)

Thank God the have the Q5 and CUV or the sales would have been dismal. Not a single car is up.

The whole industry is going in this direction, buyers are moving from sedans to crossover SUVs. If you look at A4/A5 together sales are up...the A5 sportback is talking lots sales that would have went to the A4.

This time next year will be most telling for the brand. Well, starting January of next year, really. Audi does not plan to add any new volume drivers like they have been doing the past few years with the A3, Q3, and A5 Sportback. These volume drivers are what have had a large impact on the positive numbers of "growth" the brand has been experiencing since adding a model just adds that raw # to the sales numbers and doesn't have previous data to compare against. The only new car coming out in the near future are the A6 and A7, not the highest volume sellers. I'm not even sure if a new A3 is coming anytime soon, but I do believe a new Q3 should be due soon. I believe it will be a heady challenge for Audi to maintain this record, but we shall see.

Forgot to add. If you took out the A5 from the equation, Audi's remaining lineup would be about 3% in the red.

The end is near for Audi's streak, given the fact that they were saved by 2 models, and their total are still 7K to 11K behind the BMW, MB and Lexus. If they sell any more vehicles they will see a drop YOY in some months.

The As won't move the needle but the Qs may.
