McLaren Reiterates It Will Not Enter The Super SUV Segment

It’s all about SUVs at the moment. Consumers want them, and since automakers are, after all, businesses, they’re more than happy to oblige. But there’s one automaker that doesn’t have any interest in making a SUV: McLaren.

 

After years of saying that there will never be a SUV from Ferrari, it looks like the Italian marque will indeed make a SUV. After a nearly 24-year hiatus, Lamborghini has re-entered the SUV scene with the 641 HP Urus. So it would only make sense for McLaren to follow suit with a high-riding vehicle of its own. McLaren, though, has no interest in making SUVs.

Ferrari has no real reason to make an SUV - they already are setting record sales year after year. Still - for a Vehicle whose Tires may always be OFFROAD! - it is simply a money grab for them. And remember - they still have a relationship with a full line car/truck manufacturer.

McClaren - as far as I know - does not and it currently sell all the cars it can make too - why add another cost?
