SPIED: REFRESHED + Updated Porsche Boxster Spyder Is NABBED Working Its Way Around The 'Ring — 00R's In LOVE
Out of the plethora of vehicles I've been lucky to drive, there's a few that really stand out among the pack. Many of them are über cars.

In other words, the pinnacle of performance or the top dogs when it comes to luxury.

But if you're not willing to part with six figures from your bank account, what are you to do? I have the answer for you, provided you're looking for a vehicle with amazing handling characteristics and a top-down motoring experience.

My friends, I would point you to the Porsche Boxster Spyder. That's because it gives you the thrill of a lifetime and the exotic experience without having to put a kidney on the black market. While the vehicle is currently not available on the market, that will change soon. Porsche will be revealing an updated version in short order.

We've been following the development of the revamped Cayman GT4 as well as the Boxster Spyder, and it seems we're close to the end of the road. That's because the latest spy shots show the Boxster Spyder with ZERO camouflage.

Things that are different include the revised front valence with larger vents for cooling purposes, more aggressive rockers, an updated rear diffuser with an integrated, dual exhaust, and a larger rear spoiler for increased downforce.

When it comes to power, the latest indicates it will feature a six-cylinder unit. We're sure it'll get a slight increase in power and a boost in fuel efficiency.

It looks even more ungainly than ever. The Cayman is so much nicer looking than the Boxster variant.

For the price of this abomination - you can get a Corvette ZO6 with a real AMERICAN V-8 engine in it. And probably some change too!

Having owned 2 Z06s ('07 and '08) and 2 Boxster S's ('06 and '13) in the past, there is no comparison in quality. One hard top Vette leaked like a sieve within 3 months and GM couldn't find the leak:(. Both smelled like plastic. They did go fast, I'll give you that. Not worth the hassle though. The '06 Boxster had 12000 miles in 1 year and was great. The 2013 Boxster S I had oozed quality and had no leaks in the 2 years and 20000 miles I put on it. Drove it in the mountains in snow, encased in ice during a storm, and through many beautiful days with the top down. Not as fast but a better drive, and more importantly, didn't smell like a gym locker after 3 months! AND no high from breathing plastics for hours on end. The Spyder will be sublime!

You did not experience the C7 generation Corvette. It matches or exceeds the Porsche.
The top NEVER leaks, the engine is sublime and powerful, the performance and handling are impressive, the build quality is excellent, the cosmetics are eye appealing, and it is ultra reliable. Chevrolet takes a lot of credit for the high caliber build of the C7 Vette.

I am not knocking the Porsche but stating the facts about the top quality, performance and value of the C7 Corvette.

You are right about that- I vowed to never buy another 'vette after the dealer kept my car for 3 days and never called me back to discuss why my glovebox was full of water and the passenger carpet was soaked and smelled like a locker room. I finally called to see what was up, and they said "oh, we tested the car and can't find a leak. You can come get the car". When I asked my next step, they referred me to a local company The Leak Doctor"- I sh$t you not! This was a brand new $77k Zo6! I took a massive hit on the trade in. Glad GM got their act together- I'm all American but I'll vote with my wallet a different way. The indifference GM showed me is why they went bankrupt, and it will probably happen again once America gets off their addiction to SUVs when gas goes back up. Again, I love the latest Corvette and if I ever want to track a car and pay for 20 minutes of it's great performance BEFORE it switches into limp mode and I ride around the track parading like a grandma, I'll buy another one.:)

You didn't take your concern to the area representative? These days they get extremely pissed off if they have to deal with an issue that should have been handled by the dealer.

See above- was 2008 so a little out of date now. Would of, should of, could of... I own a business and take care of my customers so I expect other businesses to do the same. No more comments from me on this subject and glad GM is nw taking care of their 'vette owners... BTW Google 2017 and 2018 class action lawsuits involving Z06 corvettes not performing on a race track.
