Actual Physical problems with the network are only ONE problem - that the stream of information could be HACKED is far more problematic. Imagine a hacker taking control of your car from a remote location - and smashing it into a Concrete Wall for instance.

So far - the over the air software system has not been designed that cannot be Hacked - and the more security features they add - the more the Hackers rise to the cause. YOu could have a car that uses computers that cannot be accessed "over the air" - to prevent this - and most cars are that way today. But in the age of predicted Autonomous cars - this is likely to be an even MORE major concern. IF hackers in Russia can hack into voting systems in the USA - they can Hack into a car here too. Or maybe a HUGE group of cars. Imagine a terrorist group have that capability.

Of course Congress could pass a law against it - that would "work" - surely - NOT.
