WEIRD and WONDERFUL? Video Footage Of Kim Jong Un's Mercedes Motorcade Is Strangely Satisfying...And Then There's The Rolling Toilet
In recent weeks there's been a tremendous amount of news coming from Korea — both North and South. And, as of yesterday, it seems that the always unstable peninsula may be headed for something sort of unexpected.

Peace.

If you woke up early yesterday morning you were likely tuning into footage of the summit, which will lead to President Trump's meeting with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. One piece of footage that seems to keep getting replayed is the video of Kim's armored Mercedes-Benz S-Class limo chauffeuring him to his next point with a slew of bodyguards running around the vehicle.

I am not sure if there's any practical reason for it aside from being a show of force.

Is it just me or is it strangely satisfying to watch the team run around the vehicle in unison?

Oh, and then there's this interesting fact:

...There are likely to be other special arrangements made for Kim — and his bodily functions.

“Rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” said Lee Yun-keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before coming to South Korea in 2005.

“The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind,” Lee said...

This show only gets more and more interesting by the day.

So Rocket Man is full of sh!t and he wants to hold on to it? I am really surprised he wasn't assassinated in the south.

He hes so many body doubles it's hard to tell so whacking him or his "bait" could be futile. His own government/military/people need to take him out and all the mini-mes just to be sure the fat rat gets exterminated like he justly deserves. Then you run the risk of another oppressive regime taking control unless some type of unification with South Korea could be orchestrated. It's a real clusterfuck that only the Trump admin has been able to make some progress with. Time will tell.

While it was before my time the Korean war was basically won, US forces had pushed the Communists back to the Chinese border. Then China invaded and pushed the front back to where the border between north and south Korea is today. I don't think China wants to see a united Korea and have no buffer at their border.

@CANADIANCOMMENTS: The issue with the US involvement with the Korean war, is that the US did not stop at the China/Korea border. They invaded China because they wanted to teach the Commies a lesson. Well, the Communist Chinese didn't like being invaded, and unlike being a pushover -- like the US thought they would be -- they fought back. Hard! And so, the Russian-backed Chinese pushed US troops south to the current North/South Korean border.

But this is not commonly taught is the US school curriculum, because anything that doesn't portray the US and the valiant vanquishers is said to be "un-American". These sorts of facts get some Americans quite upset.

The weird thing about this scene is that it so resembles a third-world dictator's view of affluence and pomp: We can afford 1 limo; everyone else has to walk.

It would have been more impressive to have a motorcade. Buy hey, it's Kim's call, right?

Couldn't read the article b/c it was forcing me to pay $1 to read it. So, I have no idea what I've just witnessed here. All i see are a bunch of guys trotting adjacent to his Benz limo, seeemingly on a strange route around some kind of complex. Do these guys run with him on the highway, too? If the limo does get attacked, would the possibly be too tired to really fight? Confused.
