Wow, Lexus is really not keeping up. For the month, Audi was only about 2k units behind. And that's even with the crazy-selling RX. The RX-L has been on sales since February and doens't look to have had the impact Lexus expected. I guess when you shrink 2nd row legroom by 8 inches (!) and only have 23 inches of 3rd row legroom, I can't imagine anyone buying it over an MDX, QX60 or Q7, all of whom have at least 6-8 inches more 2nd row legroom and about 6 inches more 3rd-row legroom. Talk about really poor packaging.

I never believed the dealers insistent that "customers demand" a 7-seat RX is true, so I never thought RX-L would help RX sales much. But you're right, only the RX and NX are holding up Lexus now. 2018 ES is too old, but with 2019 ES and UX coming in year-end, I think Lexus will be competitive again with BMW (not MB, MB is on its own category this time). What they need is a really good new IS (bigger and more powerful) and new GS coupe-like.

Go to this article and scroll to the bottom where there is a chart comparing legroom for a number of 3-row SUVs. I think the RX-L's numbers may shock you, as they did me.

Your choices with Lexus are
RX / no 3rd seat
RXL / unusable 3rd seat
GX / archaic truck chassis

At least in My area - Toyota Dealers are really discounting the Camry - and the Honda dealers are NOT doing the same with the Accord. In fact - I know several who told me that they could buy a Chevrolet Impala for less than the Accord.

Honda will if the Accord continues its thud dance.

With Accords collecting dust at nearby dealers, I am sure you can get 10% off sticker, even without published incentives.

Check TrueCar national transations, Camry and Accord discounting nearly identical (best at $20.7k), 1.5% difference Accord LX vs. Camry LE.

Funny how some hear have multiple ids and repeat the same comments. Along with voting for their own BS.

When I get -70 on my comments I laugh because (1) they mistakenly think that voting me down will hurt my feelings and (2) that they have nothing better to do with their (his?) time. You know it's psychosis when they are brazen enough to do MDarringer1 as one of his personas.
