Electric Truck Upstart Files $2 Billion Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Tesla

Tesla's first electric truck, the Semi, is probably less than two years away from entering service in various fleets across the U.S. Capable of carrying up to 80.000 lbs (36 tons) of cargo with ease, the model promises to be a revolution in the field of freight transportation.

The dream of having electric trucks on the road soon might be hampered by a company few have heard of until now. The company in question, Nikola Motor, filed a suit in Arizona on Tuesday saying Tesla has stolen some of its ideas.

Yes, you read it right, Tesla is being sued by Nikola.

A $1k deposit is a pretty good indicator of a sale. I do know people that got their $1k back.

@runinglogan Do you mean if they DO go bankrupt by the end of the year? If that is what you meant, probably. I like some of the non-Tesla posts as well, so maybe not. They will definitely be around for a long time, and you guys will probably hate the company whether it is a failure or success. The tagline will just change to "I'm so sick of seeing Tesla's on the road" as opposed to "Bankrupt in X months"
