ROYAL WEDDING: Did Meghan Marry Prince Harry Or AUSTIN POWERS?

ROYAL WEDDING: Did Meghan Marry Prince Harry Or AUSTIN POWERS?
I am not sure about you, boys and girls, but I wasn't exactly dialed in to the coverage detailing everything about the Royal Wedding. While I don't wish any ills towards Meghan Markle or Prince Harry, I simply don't care about their big day.

Maybe it's just a cultural, British thing?

Anyway, what I did find interesting was the use of a Jaguar E-Type driven by Harry to the location of their soirée. But, as you would suspect, it wasn't your ordinary E-Type.

That's because it was borrowed for the special day. Lent from Jaguar, the specific vehicle was the E-Type Zero. This particular model replaces the gasoline-fed powertrain with an electric one.

Originally, the E-Type Zero was showed at a 2017 Tech Fest and Jaguar would be happy to sell you one should you so desire. The price? $470,000-475,000 USD.

There's no question that the E-Type is one of the prettiest drop top vehicles ever made ,but I can't help being reminded of Austin Powers with the Union Jack livery every time I see one.

Prince Harry took his wife Meghan Markle out for a spin in an eco-friendly Jaguar that was hailed 'the most beautiful electric car in the world'.

The two left Windsor Castle in the light blue stunner as they headed to their reception at Frogmore House, a 17th-century venue in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday evening.

The roadster, which is adapted from a 1968 version to include a zero emissions electric motor and plug-in battery, costs a cool £350,000.

Haha! Great picture. My wife and I left for our honeymoon in a borrowed Jensen Interceptor Convertible.

Prince William and Katherine drove off from their wedding in the Aston Martin DB6 Volante owned by his Dad Prince Charles. That was a cool ride...

The Brits have created some pretty cool rides.

Hate the Monarchy, couldn't care less about the wedding, but it's pretty clear that a couple of billion people around the world disagree with me.

You're just now realizing that?

Well, this wedding has effected my wife. She wants to know if I think that she's still my princess. So, of course I answered yes. So she says, than why don't you open car doors for me anymore?

Tell her you're a feminist or that you'll open the door if you can buy an F-Type convertible

@-pcar4evr The easiest way to impress/shock/reset a modern, successful educated woman is to open a car or restaurant door for her. It is completed unexpected in 2018 and it will immediately set you apart from the other men she has dated in the past. It never fails... And if you are married with kids, it shows a level of respect for your wife that both your daughters and sons will take note of and not soon forget.

Why would anyone from the U.S. celebrate a monarchy? Many men sacrificed their lives so we could enjoy freedoms from it. I find it sad the British people still allow this.

Such an ignorant response. Let's put aside your cultural bigotry and focus on your arrogance for wanting to tell citizens of a country that you do not belong to how to run the show. You should compare notes on your arrogance with CanadianCommunist. The USA and the UK have forged a very tight relationship since the Revolutionary War and a part of that relationship with an American preoccupation with everything British including the romanticized image of the Royal Family. Now with an American marrying a prince, it triggers that romanticism.

@MD The warming of the US/UK relationship may have taken a bit of time after the Revolutionary War. It left a sour feeling felt on both sides. Likely 100 years later and maybe a bit closer to WW1. I personally think the Royals are great for the UK and The Commonwealth Nations and there is nothing like the pageantry of a Royal Wedding. Although I think this was a notch or two down from William and Kate's wedding day.

Of course it was a notch or two down. Harry isn't in line to the throne.
