Another Year With No Real Change - How Long Can Nissan Sit On The Fence With The Z Car?
Nissan announced the changes to the 370Z's 2019 model year Tuesday and it looks like there aren't many overall, just surface adjustments.

The Coupe, Roadster, and Nismo body styles of the car are retained, though standard features receive small improvements in the form of an auto-dimming rearview mirror and backup camera. Option packages receive the most changes, with refinements made to the 370Z's Heritage Edition trim, and alterations to other packages. The starting price tag remains unchanged at $29,990 for the 370Z Coupe, $41,820 for the 370Z Roadster, and $45,690 for the 370Z Nismo, which ditches its 'Tech' suffix once again.

They need to pull an "05 Mustang" move and really point to the original reborn.

Evoke the 240Z for looks. Make it a 2+2.

240Z = 2.4T and $25K base
370Z = 3.7 V6 and $30K base
500Z = 5/0 V8 and $35K base

Nismo Edition is a $5K goody bag package that can be added on to each variant.

It needs to be gorgeous to look at (the 350/370 are hideous). It has to be bullet-proof for durability and reliability (the 350/370 were scathingly bad in these two areas). It has to provide tremendous value (the 350/370 most decidedly do not represent value).

A successor should NOT use anything from Mercedes because that would jack up the price.
