GM Plays It Smart And Stays Out Of Court Over Self Driving Crash
With a number of high-profile self-driving vehicle accidents grabbing the headlines in recent months you would be forgiven for forgetting about the crash that took place between a motorcyclist and one of GM’s autonomous Chevy Bolts. To recap, one Oscar Nilsson was riding behind an all-electric Chevy Bolt in heavy morning traffic in San Francisco on the December 7 last year. The Bolt attempted to switch lanes but aborted the maneuver at the last minute and tried to return to its original lane.

Who is the guy in here who keeps telling us the Tesla Model 3 competes with the Bolt and is "overpriced"? Looks at this thing - it's a Chevy Spark which retails for about 8,500. There is nothing remotely interesting or cool about it, and they are asking $37,000 for it.

Is the guy who keeps posting this nonsense crazy? Is Chevy crazy? I think clearly yes on both counts.

It's actually more of an electrified Sonic.

Electrified Spark, electrified Sonic, whatever - same dumpy little city car that no one would ever pay $37,000 for. Do you know what you can get for $37,000? I hate to say it, but a Kia Stinger.

Obviously most people totally disagree with you since the Model 3 is KILLING the Bolt in sales even at a much higher price. But it's worse than that - the Model 3 sales are going up like crazy, and the Bolt is about 8 months away from being discontinued.

Wanna bet?

Since you work for Tesla SanJose, tell us the actual sells numbers of Model 3 versus the Bolt. Tesla doesn't publish the numbers monthly.

Sorry, not SanJose. Too dry their for me. I'd live in Tiburon.

The numbers I saw for all of the vehicles in question were on this site:

I gave you the site which lists the sales data - it has results for all vehicles, including the Bolt.

I did not read that the Bolt would be discontinued, I merely surmised it by the anemic and trending in the wrong direction results they are producing. Seems to be heading to the same final destination as the modern-day Edsel Cadillac ELR.

Are you guys trying to argue that the Bolt is a success? Really?
