Video Seemingly Catches Tesla Employee Hunched Over Wheel In Moving Model S
A Tesla employee who appears to be either sleeping or unconcious behind the wheel of a moving Model S was caught on camera as the car drove itself down a road near the company's Freemont, Calif., factory.

Teslas can be equipped with an Autopilot feature that offers semi-autonomous driving capabililties, but requires drivers to periodically touch the wheel to confirm that they are paying attention.

If it can be proven that the technology is not ready, then they deserve to have the booth thrown at them.

Yeah, that's not good. People need to stop doing stupid things like this on Autopilot.

It's a Tesla and they are suppose to do that before they crash into something that is why it is called "Autocrash". Stupid people!

What if the dude behind the wheel had a heart attack or something? Maybe someone should have called 911 instead of posting this on YouTube.

Yes, because there is no idiocy in Tesla drivers.

The guy could be an idiot, he could have had 4 beers with lunch, he could have gone into insulin shock, he could be fumbling under the seat looking for his phone, etc.

I don't know. Neither do you.

He's a Tesla driver. Tesla drivers don't drink beer. They like chardonnay or sugary colorful fruity martinis.

How can you be constantly wrong even about the most stoopid things? There's a Tesla guy who has a microbrewery for crying out loud, drives his second Roadster all the time after an asshole rearended him in his first, not paying any attention, AEB failing to work at highway speeds.

I think only trolls use the words "fake news" lol

That term is near synonymous with completely disregarding objectivity and just making stuff up on the fly.

why is the video so short? ok maybe driver was looking down at phone or something - not slumped/hunched over wheel though.

We don't know the circumstances of the Tesla employee. The driver could be sleeping, on the phone or something happened.
But isn't there another other issue here. In many states/provinces, holding your phone for whatever reason is an automatic distracted driving charge. So the person taking the video is also risking the lives of those on the road.
