If Telsa's Model Y looks Like THIS, Will There Be A Line Of Takers Like The Model 3?

An avid Tesla enthusiast has shared a concept render of the company’s upcoming crossover SUV — the Model Y — based on the recent teaser image provided by Elon Musk during the 2018 Annual Shareholder Meeting.

The concept renders were shared and uploaded by Tesla fan and graphic artist Miguel Massé. His concept for the Model Y shows a crossover SUV with a silhouette and front fascia that’s very similar to the Model 3. From the rear, the vehicle’s concept features similarities with its compact electric sedan sibling as well, though it has generous ground clearance and an aggressive stance.

This is not even a raised Station Wagon. IT is simply a Four WHeel Drive CAR - which in itself is not a bad thing - but in today's market - the demand for such a car is limited.

For Me - AN Off Road EV is opening yourself to incredible towing fees if you run out of power in the hinterland. THis is one case where I would want some type of engine - or an interchangeable Battery set up.

That's horrible. It takes all the thick, ungainliness of the Model X and makes it worse.

You wish! The Model X isn't bad photoshop. It's horrifically bad proportions are 100% real.

Model X proportions are off from several angles. Looks cool with the doors up, but it's tough to make an SUV look sexy all around. Love the S, pretty happy with the 3, hopeful the Y will not look like the image above.

Yes there will be a huge line and huge sales. CUV's are hot right now and those with enough money will buy this new Tesla. It may cannibalize some Model 3 sales but that will be worked into sales projections once launched. If Porsche is doing huge numbers with the Macan, this Model Y could become Tesla's best selling vehicle. Any thought to the contrary would be foolish in today's marketplace.

I hate all of these bulbous wagon-y things, but I sure do see a lot of them on the road so someone is lapping them up. Won't be me though.

Ha ha heee heeee. Looks like a compact version of a compact car. Do you drive it or wear it?

If they are going with a taller Model 3 they'll need to do something with that front end. That's a lot of duck bill.

We will never know. Tesla will not last long enough to make it. Typical Musk, when surrounded by bad news, wave a new shine thing in front of the mob for distraction.

Tesla is not going anywhere, federal credit or no credit.

They may not be going anywhere, but Tesla will be sold sooner rather than later,

If deliveries of a lower end Y have to wait till after base 3s roll out in meaningful numbers, it's not going to happen in my lifetime.
