First Model 3 Dual Motor Rolls Off The Assembly Line, But No $35K Base Models In Sight

Tesla has ramped up Model 3 production on a third production line at its Fremont factory - the new line being a temporary structure that was set up in less than three weeks, according to boss Elon Musk.

The move has allowed Tesla to start building the first all-wheel drive versions of the Model 3. This variant is one of the last to be built due to the company’s production troubles, although production of the entry-level $35,000 car has not begun yet.

It’s not yet known how long the temporary production line will be operational for or if it will be gradually converted into a full-time production line.

If they kept their $50M investment in TSLA, they would have made a billion dollars today. (Toyota also gets credit for saving Tesla in 2007/2008 with that infusion).

I can't wait to see the first $75,000 Model 3 !

Wonder if, for the extra money, the fiery explosion happens faster than in the cheaper models?

A $50K investment in TSLA 1 month ago would appreciate almost 30% today. By the time the Performance model rolls our in volume in 2 months, that 50K will be enough to pay for it - may be even enough to pay for sale tax.

It's good to invest in Tesla and use its product at the same time. But I'm still saving my last laugh since the fun has just started.

I reckon the profit margin on the base level Model 3 is allot lower, hence production is not yet in sight.
