When the 3rd generation BMW 6-Series came out in 2011 following the Concept 6 Series that was unveiled the year before in Paris, it was considered a handsome-looking, albeit conservatively styled, gran tourer.

Unlike its f(r)unkier predecessor, the F13 6-Series wasn’t designed by Chris Bangle, but rather Adrian van Hooydonk, who also happened to work on the concept that went on to become the all-new BMW 8-Series Coupe.

I like them both. Having said that, I would love to own an 8 series circa 1997, which I think was the last year of production.

Refresh the 6, make it thicker, not better, call it an 8 and thus crap all over what was a great vehicle in their history, jack up the price and call it a day.

I think this will be a sales disaster.

The 4 Series is the BMW coupe to have. The 6 Series was stupid and the 8 Series takes everything that was wrong with the 6 and exacerbates them.

For me it is not a choice - I prefer cars I can get into - the 8 series is the one. However - I am not into BMWs

The guy says "babe" and "doll" a lot. Has a hairy chest with gray hair and his shirt unbuttoned so you can see the thicket.
