He Said, She Said: Tesla Claims Sabotage, Worker Claims He Was A Whistleblower — Whose Side Are YOU On?
Another day, another Tesla headline.

The past several days have been extremely interesting for the electric vehicle manufacturer. That's because the latest news coming from TSLA is that the company has been hacked by an internal, rogue employee that distributed critical data to the wrong folks.

Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, is showing his extreme paranoia by stating that it may be more than meets the eye and even alluded to the oil & gas industry potentially playing a part in this latest debacle.

But here's the thing: The employee responsible, Martin Tripp, is speaking out as of Wednesday night. Tripp is telling The Washington Post that he is actually a whistleblower and that Tesla is putting unsafe vehicles on the road.

There's quite a bit to unpack here so I advise you click after the jump to read the FULL story. After that, let us know what you think. This is clearly a "he said, she said" situation and we want to know: Whose side are YOU on?

Tesla sued a former employee Wednesday, accusing the man of hacking the automaker's computer systems and stealing company secrets, shedding light on what chief Elon Musk had suggested was the work of a secretive internal saboteur.

But the employee, Martin Tripp, told The Washington Post that he did not tamper with internal systems and is instead a whistleblower who spoke out after seeing "some really scary things" inside the company, including dangerously punctured batteries installed in cars...

Would be interesting to watch this unfold on Judge Judy. Think she will unravel both their characters to the bone.

This will NEVER get to court - WHY? - Because the information received will be considered evidence - and Telsa will try to fight - but not be able to prevent public release of the evidence.

However - should I be wrong - this will be the trial of the century

Tripp is easy to believe. The production glitches on the Model 3 have been well documented as have been the horrific quality lapses. The gigafactory is likely as shoddy. Damaged battery packs as produce fires. Thankfully Teslas NEVER burst into flame for no reason. As for Elon's "everyone's against me" attitude, I want to say "No, no honey. Ain't nobody wantin' any part of your game."

It isn't whistle blowing when you alter computer data, as they (Tesla) say he has admitted to. I can see him saying publicly he hasn't because that would kill him in any legal proceedings. Certainly it could be true that he was just being a whistle blower, but let's wait to see what comes of the legal process.

ELON says that he altered computer data. Go down the path a second. If the guy is a whistleblower, Elon is going to demonize the living hell out of him, thus anything out of Elon's mouth is unreliable.

Tesla says he said he did it???? Hearsay defined.

As I said, let the legal process proceed. One way or the other, the truth will likely come out.

I really hope this isn't being overblown for that purpose. Fingers crossed for 5k well-built cars per week by the end of the quarter.

Open and shut case. The loser got caught red handed and sang like a bird. Tesla is reeling in "third party" before pressing charge.
