Not defending germannut however, the majority of us care, car sales is an indication on how manufacturers are doing and for Mercedes and BMW is extremely important as they are the only 2 luxury car makers left that are largely self operated and built not depending on a parent companies hand me downs or sharing like Volkswagen(Audi), Ford(Lincoln), GM(Cadillac), Toyota(Lexus), Nissan(Infiniti), Honda(Acura), Tata(Jag/Land Rover) and so on

As a shareholder you’d care as well

Lol regardless of your personal feelings about brands, his initial question was who “dafuk” cares about sales, and the answer is anyone who cares about cars does, because sales is how they eat and how your faves continue to exist.

And if Nissan did just rank above Toyota in the latest JD quality report so if they are “SHITTY”, what does that say about everyone else lol.

U guys crack me up!

The new 3 series will give sales an upward jolt or cause continuing concerns about conservative designs...time will tell!

I predict the 3 Series will have to be incentivized like hell to have a chance at keeping volume flat.

Based on the spyshots of the new 3-Series, it will be the latter.

Weak China sales? Just read today that China is threatening to raise auto tariffs from 15% to 40% on vehicles imported from the US, this includes BMW and Mercedes US made vehicles. BMW may find they made a mistake investing in the Spartanburg plant and start building their SUVs elsewhere including China if need be.
