AAA Study Indicates Apple CarPlay And Android Auto Are Leaps And Bounds Less Distracting Than OEM Systems

Built-in vehicle infotainment systems are more distracting to drivers than Apple CarPlay and Google's Android Auto, according to new research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

The study could have implications for future automotive technology development.

While the manufacturers may get some ideas how to improve their systems from those two - I doubt they will convert over to them. THe current path is for the Main Screen to be able to lot of things beyond the scope of either app.

i wish WAZE could get built into the apple play screen , other GPS are garbge after you get used to waze.
