SEMA: Saab 9-7x Aero concept

SEMA: Saab 9-7x Aero concept
Well, here's a concept that's gotten our attention. The Saab 9-7x Aero on display at SEMA is the sportiest and best-looking iteration of Saab's SUV yet. Prepared by DUB, the car is shod with 24" turbine-look wheels and sees its bodywork tastefully freshened with metallic honeycomb grille inserts and new similarly-trimmed custom side vents. The whole affair sits on a suspension dropped three inches, making this Saab one seriously mean-looking sled.

DUB finished trimming the exterior with dark tint all the way around, plus smoked taillamp lenses. A Borla exhaust gives it added snarl. Inside, a new suede and leather interior featuring a very upgraded audio/video system welcomes driver and passengers alike. We say this: lift the suspension back up a little, reduce the wheel size to a more manageable 20" or 22" and keep the grillework and side vents as they appear here. Add the 6.0L LS2 from the Trailblazer SS, put it in dealerships, and let's rock.

Honestly talking out of my arse..so don't get offended but..drive this thing in certain places ie St.Louis, Detroit, Washington D.C. area is like asking for trouble. Only thing missing is a Gold painted front grill like those rappers w/Gold tooth.

The problem is the Chevrolet TrailBlazer on which this mess is based. If you start with bad proportions then none of the following will make a classic design:
(i.) Saab's aerodynamic front end
(ii.) Liberal amounts of chrome
(iii.) Oversized wheels

That's just horrific... first they build a Saab off of the POS TrailBlazer platform, and adding insult to injury, they try to make an Aero package for it? For shame!

Saab doesn't need an SUV! The 9-3 sells better than all the others combined!

Saab needs an SUV based on THEIR OWN platform. I know they can't afford it, but it's what they need. The TrailBlazer is a dump. I rented one.

This crossover is EXACTLY what Saab needs to be propelled into the Lamborghini/Ferrari echelon of niche brands.

Wow...how many versions of the same vehicle can a company spit out?

- Chevrolet Trailblazer
- GMC Envoy
- Oldsmobile Bravada
- Isuzu Ascender
- Buick Ranier
- Saab 9-7x

I really do like those Aero X wheels though.
