Lebron James Goes To The LA Lakers For $154MM Over 4 Years — What Fleet Of Rides Would YOU Buy To Do LA Right?

Making waves in the sports community tonight is news that Lebron James' free agency is over. It's not much of a surprise, but James has officially contracted with the Los Angeles Lakers for a four-year, $154MM deal.

Considering he's already invested in not one, but two, LA-based properties and has quite a bit of dealings via Maverick Carter in the entertainment space, this makes perfect sense from where we sit.

While we're sure that James has already acquired a variety of ways to get around town, we were just wondering. If you had amassed James' staggering wealth and were looking to do LA right, what mix of vehicles would you have in your fleet?

It was well known that Kobe Bryant avoided LA traffic by commuting to and from games via helicopter. Perhaps it's OK to think outside the box for this one.

Sure, you've got your Rolls-Royces and Bentleys. But, what about LearJet-like Mercedes-Benz Sprinters or something discrete like a Tesla Model X?

One must remember that LeBron James is MY size (6'8")- although maybe a little thinner right now - so there are a lot of cars that he cannot even get into - for example- he has a Porsche 911 Turbo - but rarely drives it. AND - with all his endorsements - he is already worth North of $300 Million - so this contract is nice - but he was already rich rich.

Lebron now has a Bentley Continental GT - a Mercedes S63 AMG - a High End Rover - a Rolls Royce Phantom - an Aventador - a Hummer - A Ferrari F430 - and an F458 as well - 2 Maybachs - and a Jeep Wrangler among his collection of cars. He also has a custom Chevy Camaro and a Dodge Challenger - but he is most often seen driving his restored 1975 Chevy Impala Convertible.

Frankly - I am not sure I would have ALL of these cars even if I had that money. But I think he has the car thing covered.

Don't have a Phantom - Don't yet have a Maybach as well (Soon though).
Next to my S600 - and my Chrysler Mini-van - I have a Cadillac CT6 - something I doubt Lebron would be interested in.

I suppose if I had the lots more money - I would Put a Ferrari next to my Maybach - but Lebron has two of those AND a Lambo too.

For most of my life - I and my Kids reconstructed cars - (I am a transmission rebuilder as a side job) - We would go to the Junk Yard and get a wreck - build and engine and trans for it - and do the body work. Putting Kids through college was where my money went. And then - I got lucky - made a couple of really good investments - and find myself - near the end of my life - with no money problems. That is how I got my first Jaguar V-12 too. My current S-600 was bought used (ALthough it had only 3,000 miles on it - from my boss) - and the Maybach is really my first and likely last big splurge on a car. (Surely you do not consider the other two anything major). I did have the opportunity to buy my Boss's 3 year old Phantom - when he ordered a new one - but the Maybach saved me a lot of money - I like the MB better (THe Phantom is all white - which is a major negative) - and it is NEW.
