Good Idea? UK Now Allows Drivers To Tattle On Fellow Motorists Using Dashcam Footage

Dash cam owners can now submit footage directly to the police, following the launch of a free online portal linked directly to 19 police forces.

Dash cam maker Nextbase’s not-for-profit National Dash Cam Safety Portal (NDSP) allows drivers to submit footage of dangerous driving and complete an online form, which creates what police refer to as “gold standard” evidence for authorities to review. The portal accepts footage from all types of dash cam.

Sad but this WILL be the future and my days of enjoying driving will be limited. I don't speed in the city as too many kids and other accidents waiting to happen but the highways are my canvas and this application of tech will kibosh one of my last forms of pleasure and freedom for me...
