Isn't it amazing how only Audi magically defies market and economic variations, and keeps going up! up! UP! ;-) Even if only by a hair.
What will they ever do if a single negative month breaks their unblemished, nearly decade-long uninterrupted growth trend?

Nice for A4 and A5. A8 is a total disaster though.

Do an online inventory search and you'll see there are very little A8's in stock to sell. And this is because the new model coming.

But beyond that dealers don't stock them in great number anyway because they DON'T SELL in the first place.

Considering Audi has 3 major models just waiting to roll out in the Fall (A6, A7, A8), it's not surprising they're seeing a broad slowdown. The Q3 just keeps plugging along even though it's as old as dirt.

A spectacular performance by Audi given the new A6, A7 and A8 models have yet to go on sale and the Q3 is extremely old. Maintaining positive sales growth when so many models are set for replacement or outdated is one of the most difficult things to do but Audi has done it.
Even more surprising is that Audi is still far ahead of BMW and Mercedes-Benz in the YTD percentage growth metric.

Audi's U.S. results for June 2018 are actually extremely strong. While a 0.3% increase may not sound like much, the fact that Audi can continue to grow sales despite the new A6, A7 and A8 yet to go on sale in the U.S. speaks to how strong the brand is. Add in a very outdated Q3 and Audi's continued sales growth shows just how strong the brand's momentum is in the U.S.
Considering Audi, with its outdated A6, A7, A8 and Q3 can still grow sales through the first half of 2018 by 4.8% while Mercedes-Benz's U.S. sales decline and BMW is up less than 2% in that same period shows Audi's momentum.
Expect a huge growth in sales in the second half of 2018 as Audi's A6, A7 and A8 go on sale. 2019 should be even better with the new eTron and updated Q3 on sale in the U.S. as well.

All the naysayers remarked how bland and uninspiring the new Q7, Q5 and A4's were when released. Yet they're holding their ground pretty well.
Some people have a real hatred towards this brand, with basically the same comments every month. And ONE person with EXACTLY the same comment.

Yes. It's amazing what stacks of cash on the hood can accomplish.
The fact is that there is a vast difference in the transaction price of an Audi and a similarly priced Mercedes. Sure, you can get a discount at Mercedes, but you'll get a BIG DISCOUNT and a possibly a free happy ending at Audi.
Audi's schtick is to price itself like a premium and sell itself at near-premium prices.

Matt, you're all talk and no substance. Once again, you fail to provide any evidence to support your claims that Audi is offering discounts larger than its competitors BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

"GermanNut" you really need to remember which persona you are using when you comment because "Truthy" wrote that. #hypocrite
I would provide the data if your opinion IN ANY WAY mattered to me but it doesn't.
I could not possibly care less what you think of me, but your arrogance wants me to feel hurt that you don't like me. Because that isn't working, you get triggered.
Please see a therapist. I could give you a diagnosis, but it would not be professional over the internet.
You could choose to ignore me, but you're you evolved enough to do that.
Meanwhile, I'm right and you're delusional.

You forgot to mention Matt that you would provide the data if it actually existed, but it doesn't exist. Keep making up stuff to make yourself feel better.

The data most decidedly does exist. Giving an #RBF response doesn't prove you right and further erodes your credibility.
Was your insincerity supposed to hurt me? Once again, you simply don't matter to me.
As for this BS about data and proof, when have you ever provided either in what you purport to be true? Answer: NEVER. This makes you a hypocrite.

All the data I provide is backed up by monthly sales reports both for the United States and globally by Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Considering my commentary is usually limited to those articles, my proof is found in the sales numbers issued by the respective companies.
You, on the other hand, make up claims while providing no evidence. In fact, you have never been able to provide any proof of your claims about Audi when I or anyone else has requested it. The reason you haven't been able to do so is because the evidence doesn't exist. Instead, what you offer is your opinion, which is erroneous and supported by your own personal thoughts.

It's absolute BS that you always provide data. You always provide your OPINION, but an opinion is not data.
I refer to a very respected INDEPENDENT and IMPARTIAL source for sales figures of brands rather than the EXAGGERATED numbers that the manufacturers fudge on.
If you're in the industry like you obviously are NOT, you know that the marketing data of competing brands in your service area and routinely used to set prices.
Second, I am a phone call away from direct information about any brand for which I do not have direct professional information.
You are known here as an Audi fanboy who is biased, partial, and therefore an unreliable voice on Audi and an unreliable voice in general.
The fact remains that when you attack the person who challenges you rather than the issue being discussed, that is an admission that you cannot prevail. You're flailing. You're not prevailing.
May Jesus Christ our Lord, God, and Savior bless and keep you on this most glorious day of our nation's freedom. Namaste.

carsync - your statement is correct if this was the 80's or early 90's. Audi is recognized around the world (and the USA is not the world) as a competitor to M-B. Audi may not compete in all segments as M-B but they are at the same level.
I'm sure you're aware that BMW and M-B have been direct competitors for a long time. So if you say Audi is a BMW competitor, and worldwide BMW competes with M-B, then by your own logic Audi is also an M-B competitor.
