Toyota Supra To Debut This Month At Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Toyota has confirmed that the all-new A90 generation Supra is set to make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month, only a day after Auto Express reader Johnny Daly caught the fifth iteration of the firm's iconic sports car on UK soil in right-hand-drive form.

Little else has been said about the Supra's Goodwood debut - we don't yet know if it will be part of a static display or if Toyota plans to send it up the hillclimb route, but it's likely that the car will make its dynamic debut. It's almost certain to be wrapped up in a disguise though, as suggested by a new teaser issued by Toyota Europe via twitter.

Given its incorrect market placement, I'm not interested. It will be easily outclassed for the money.

The concept had a lot of styling cues borrowed from the TVR Sagaris merged with the gorgeous 1981 Supra which made it look sensational. The mules suggest this will be another visual bore like the GT86 unfortunately.

On a tangent, to me it is a head scratcher why Toyota is farming out their sports car engineering. Subaru had no experience in RWD. Using BMW would make sense only if Toyota knew nothing about RWD.

I hope a miracle happens, but somehow I suspect it will be GT86 V2.0 fiasco of styling dullness.

Not a real Toyota. Not a real Supra. A complete disappointment and a poor decision by Toyota management. FT86 did not bother me at all for some reason but letting someone else build your halo car and a historic model to boot, it is sacrilegious.
