VIDEO: The All-new Toyota Supra Does Its FIRST Run At The Goodwood Festival Of Speed — Were You Hoping For MORE?
A vehicle that's been hotly anticipated is the all-new Toyota Supra. There's just one problem: It seems to be taking notes from the Lexus LFA.

That translates into a super long development time, a luke warm reveal and then a bit of irrelevance when it eventually reaches the market. From what we've been hearing, it seems like the all-new Supra is going to NAIL that trajectory.

And that's a shame. Because, like the LFA, it may be an amazing product that won't get its fair shot.

Having said that, today marked the first time the vehicle has been seen in action. Of course, Toyota couldn't just show us the damn thing and it's wrapped in camouflage, but you get the idea. Given this appears to be the Supra's first run up the hill at Goodwood, it isn't exactly pushing the limits.

That said, are you bummed about this? Were you expecting more?

The Toyota A90 – or the new Toyota Supra – made it's world debut at the Goodwood Festival of speed. This is the first Supra since the '90s and the world has been waiting for years for it to arrive

Interesting exhaust note, doesn't sound like something that'll come out of I-6, and I wonder if BMW one will share the same note.

The main issue I have with new Supra is its positioning. While GT-R and NSX continues to build on the heritage and advances further to Super Car segment(ya I know new NSX is a fail... look at where it was designed/built) the new Supra seems simply content to stay as a sports car with I-6, just like before. Well If that's the case, then I would say an FI I-4 should be provided, since nowadays FI I-4 could top the hp, while help ]handling with less weight and moment inertia.

Yes a screaming, rattly 4 turbo is definitely preferable to an I-6.

Rattly I-4... so? Like you have never hopped into a 911.

The 911 doesn't have a rattly 4 cylinder.

You just don't get the point, isn't it? Wasting my time on a kid

Dismal to look at.
Underpowered when you can have over 400hp in a Mustang for half the cost and have better performance.
This will be a dismal failure.

It cannot be. $60k for a 340hp I6? Even diehard Supra fans will have a hard time swallowing that. You can have a $60k Supra but it better be 400-450hp. You can have a 340hp Supra but it’s gotta be priced competitively like the Nissan Z in $30-40k...

The Z--for its price--is overpriced. The Japanese just don't understand how to do a coupe.
