Remember, Spy BEFORE You Buy! IF You Want A Lexus LC, You Should ACT Before July 31...
Spies, this one is HOT and just in.

If you've been looking to get into an all-new Lexus LC, well, then now is likely a good time to act. That's because reports have surfaced that Lexus has put some cash on the hood of all LC models.

To be more specific, $5,000 for those looking to buy and $4,000 for those looking to lease.

This is not being advertised and has been revealed according to CarsDirect through incentive bulletins. The incentive for dealers ends on July 31.

So, if you've been Jonesing for an all-new LC, you may want to pick up the phone and ring a few dealers up to see who's ready to play ball.

...Earlier this month, Lexus increased rebates on most models, in some cases tripling June offers. At the same time, incentive bulletins show the brand quietly rolled out a new dealer cash incentive on all versions of the LC.

You won't see it advertised, but the brand is giving dealers up to $5,000 to help lower prices for those looking to buy. That's a smidge higher than the $4,000 Lexus is offering toward leases...

$5K on a $100K car isn't a hot deal.

Of course it's not a SCREAMING deal but clearly Lexus wants to move units.

If someone's been interested in an LC, wouldn't hurt to make a few phone calls to see if someone is eager to get a car off the lot...

This (1) presumes that Lexus is demanding list price on the LC (and other products); they aren't. This (2) presumes $5K is the best you can get off list; it isn't. This (3) is for the idiots who don't want to negotiate.

What people don't realize is that luxury cars today carry price tags to indicate the pecking order even if that list price is not the selling price.

Getting Maseratis and Jaguars for 25% off list, for example, is very easy because they don't sell. The LC's typically show up at $100K list, but rarely do they go for that because there simply isn't a stampede at the door.

No kidding.

As I said it's a signal to the market that dealers may be willing to make GREAT deals on the LC.

I do know that there would be fun times in the bedroom for me if the wife's RCF was replaced by an LC.

Ask for $15K off. Trust me on this.

If - Matt - A Lexus LC needs to be $15,000 cheaper to be MAYBE desirable - why bother buying one at all - buy a car that is worth the money instead.

As usual TomM, not being the sharpest tool in the shed, you know nothing but pontificate anyway, nor do you want to hear anything other than your opinion, which you and your tribe pretend are facts.

The fact is that the sticker prices of premium vehicles is generally quite a bit higher than the actual transaction price.

You probably like a good cash raping, so you probably pay full price on that Maybach that no one is clamoring to buy.

People who aren't afraid to negotiate would assume that if $5K off is Lexus' starting price, one's initial offer should be substantially more off the list.

As usual MATT - since YOU do not want to hear anything BUT your own opinion - I find your statement NONSENSE.

Again - I do know how to buy cars - My brother and I once owned a Dealership - and the people I buy cars from extend me courtesy that YOU would not be able to get.

SINCE EVERYONE knows that MOST premium vehicles sell at lower than list prices -the fact is - Lexus clearly attempted to sell its car at a price far above its real value. AS you have pointed out in the past - it is overpriced. I simply stated that the car is still overpriced at $15,000 off - and people looking at the cars should buy something that is worth the money they are spending.

Since again - there is NO basis for your statements about MY ability to negotiate - I will simply dismiss it as the rantings of an idiot.

MD - how much should I ask my local BMW store off list on a 7-Series?

Given that the sales of the 7 Series is in the toilet, you're the one who calls the shots. BMW is desperate for sales of the 7 Series. People aren't flocking in to buy one. That will be different with the X7 which will cost as much as a 7 Series and will be the BMW that people buy between the 7 Series and the X7.

Ask for 20% off. When they tell you it's impossible. Stand up, tell them to call you when they come back to their senses, and leave. Then pick up your phone and ask it the number of the local Audi dealer.

It would not surprise me if BMW quietly abandons the 7 Series in favor of the X7. Feckless Jaguar has even hinted that they intend to replace the XJ with a crossover.
