SPIED: Wrangler JL Moab Special Edition Caught On Transport

The Jeep Wrangler JL has been on sale for several months and it looks like it is about to receive its first special edition.

Snapped on the back of a car hauler by a member of the JL Wrangler Forums, the model will apparently be called the Wrangler Moab judging by the large decals on the hood.

The image doesn’t reveal much else, but the poster said the SUV was equipped with steel bumpers, unique rock rails and black tow hooks. Other special touches include black grille inserts, gray Jeep logos and black five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BFG Mud Terrain KM2 tires.

It continues to amaze me what people will spend good money for. Add a few Frills - some Camo- and you can get another ten grand.

Next thing you know some company is going to offer a GO-KART chassis with a Ford Mustang Engine in it - give it a retro name - and idiots will be standing in line with $100,000 to get one - and actually be PROUD of how stupid they are!

Leave it to the fascist-socialist to be against making a profit.

"profit" is the most dirty word in the car business or any type of selling business. No one is allowed to profit to earn a living...I guarantee if TomM was getting bonus checks from FCA for special editions, he wouldn't say much.

Instead of a camo Jeep, bring your bike and your balls to Moab and ride Captain Ahab...

I have had an idea for quite awhile and wonder what you guys say? A luxury version of the Wrangler, that rides well, is quiet, has a great stereo, super nice leather interior, but has the look? I think aging boomers like me would go there in a big way?
