DRIVEN + VIDEO: What Is Aston Martin's All-new, Badass DBS Superleggera REALLY Like? Dial Up The Volume...
Now, I know what you're looking for is not a review full of clichés and from a presenter that isn't always up to snuff. While I can't provide that this go around, I can provide you with something satisfying — that's the least I can do.

That would be the review of an all-new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.

Not only did Aston bring back the DBS nameplate, it also resurrected the Superleggera moniker. Clearly, it thinks highly of its all-new, 700+ horsepower monster.

Considered the marque's latest flagship, it takes the DB11's chassis to another planet, really. The Brits have dialed up the styling — frankly, I think they ruined one of the most beautifully designed autos today in the DB11 — and increased the grunt.

What's it result in, you might ask? Well, check out the video clip below and let us know your thoughts.

Oh, and dial up the volume. This V12 is sensational.

Is Aston Martin’s 715bhp DBS Superleggera a Ferrari-beating super grand tourer, and worthy successor to the much-loved Vanquish? Road test editor Matt Saunders took to an Alpine pass to find out.

Sigh..

The side strake is missing
The mouth/ grill is far too big
The rear carbon spoiler looks cheap
The lights are a bit boring

But overall it is a great car despite the above-mentioned failings.

The side is gorgeous. The tail is tasteful, but dull. The face is disgusting with a nose that sits too high and had too big of a gaping hole mouth. The dash is atrocious. I'm sure it's a brilliant car but the face and the 1995 Kia Rio quality dashboard submarine it. Fix the nose and make the dash less like a Tupperware display and it would be stunning.

Gee - Another Museum piece car that none of US are likely to ever drive on the road - because most will be in collections

Most Astons are really good looking cars in person - and this is no exception. Frankly - these pictures do not do it justice. However - it is less restrained than other Aston designs - but then for a flagship - you would expect it. Those that are criticizing it - would still love to show up at their local High End Eatery in one - just the same

Pretty sure this won't be a museum piece.

It's not like it's an Aston Zagato...

@Agent00R - It is 6/10's of the way to the future Zagato model. They won't have to change much, just the roofline and the taillights.

If you want to see Aston Martins of every year and vintage drive through Greenwich Ct country club parking lots.

I'm partial to the oddball Virage and the Mustang-esque V8 of say 1972 and absolutely adore the Lagonda. In the latter case, we saved one from the crusher but went restomod with an LS V8 and fabricated a new dashboard to replace the mess Aston put out.

A nice car to get if you can't find a Zagato.
