SPIED: July Brings The FIRE, SLEW Of German Greats On The Way — Cayman GT4, RS Q8, S-Class, 911, Cayenne Coupe, And MORE!
Ah, I love the smell of summer in the morning. Here in New Jersey it's deserted as folks head out east or down the shore. Keeping that in mind, the roads are clear and there's room to play. For the engineering teams in the area, I am sure that makes their lives easier.

That said, July is a prime month for spy shots as manufacturers test their wares around the track for optimal performance. This past month, I have to say, there's a rather nice list from the German contingent.

Some examples of what was spied in July, include:

- Refreshed Porsche 718 Cayman GT4
- All-new Mercedes-AMG GLE63
- All-new Audi RS Q8
- All-new Mercedes-Benz EQS
- All-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class
- All-new Porsche 911
- All-new Porsche Cayenne Coupe
- And much, MUCH more...

When Mercedes USA was in NJ - it was a nice trip to go up - often there would be several cars not yet available - Did you EVER- Agent?

I would be in the area and I used to go to the market across the street for certain treats, but I never went onto their property.

BMWNA I've popped my head in now and then as my ex- s/o used to work at HQ as a vendor. Many folks actually take spins in the parking lot to see what they've left out and lying around the south campus — you'll see photos/Instagrams of test cars all the time in the HQ parking lot.

Go with the coffee. The link will be insufferably boring.

The proportions of the S Class prototype look like a massive leap in the right direction.

Hopefully they choose a new design direction - the melted soapbar look has aged about as well on the S-Class (and other Mercedes) as it did on the 2000 blobby Ford Taurus. The trunks are about 1/3 too small - I think the S560 has like a 12 cubic foot trunk in real terms - its super small.

I wish it would gain come of the patrician elegance of the 450SEL and get away from the hatchback-ish profile. With every sedan doing the long roof/high tail look, a sedan that gave up a bit in aerodynamics to get a different look would be welcome. I absolutely adore the Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf.
