OUCH: Proof That Even If You Street Park Your McLaren 570S The NYPD Has NO Problem Towing It Like ANY Other Car
Born and raised in and out of New York City, I've seen a lot of wacky stuff. It's just the nature of this melting pot.

And while many wouldn't think there's many exotics in Manhattan and the outlying boroughs, there's plenty of proof otherwise.

The latest example is a street parked McLaren 570S. But this isn't like the other street parked 570S typically found at Broadway and West 4th Street. This Papaya Orange 570S was seen in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood and was illegally parked.

This resulted in not one or two, but — count 'em — THREE tickets.

Word on the street suggests one ticket was related to the absolutely heinous rear spoiler installed on the car.

According to the Reddit user who posted this image, when the McLaren was towed away its front valence started dragging on New York's famous bumpy roads causing everyone to cringe just a little bit.

Dallas towed my buddies Aston Martin and caused 30K in damage to the car. He sued, they settled and they don’t tow Aston’s anymore.

Damn.

What did they do that caused the $30,000 in damage?

Probably a booboo dent of a nothing.

When you take it to the body shop they pad like crazy. Then you present the bill and settle without the insurance knowing many times.

I have found that people who can afford mega-dollar cars have a sense of entitlement and think the laws do not apply to them. I watched a cop get called all sorts of hateful things down in Newport Beach by a Porsche owner who was straddling two parking spaces because "duhh, it's a Porsche".

In Chicago it would be a different story.
A guy I know sued the city for damaging his 458 Italia, judge told him to pound sand and gave him the bill for court fees and defendant's exepenses.
Said, park illegally and you take responsibility for everything, city has a right to tow the car or remove it any way they want, including pushing it out with a bulldozer.

Note to self, don't put a big wing on your 570S. 2nd note to self, park in a better part of town or just a parking garage. I can afford it.
