Better Start Saving Now, Because Toyota's New Hypercar Could Set You Back At Least $1 Million
Toyota has a new hypercar in the works, previewed by the rather extreme-looking GR Super Sport concept. But while we don't know too much about it at this early stage, we do know that it's going to be expensive. As in, seven-figures expensive.

Speaking with Motoring.com.au, Toyota's Australian spokesman confirmed the race-car-for-the-road will carry a price tag upwards of a million dollars. And while a million in Australian dollars may not be worth as much as it would in US dollars, it gives us an idea of what sort of pricing the Japanese automaker will be looking at.

I love it. Should be a Lexus though.

First - it will have to be a LEXUS to get that figure
THEN - it will still run into opposition from real exotic brands - many of which sell for less.

My guess is that the same person who believes that Lexus grill is "Beaut.." is the one trying to produce this car. I doubt I will see it.

Good hopefully it will have the same effect that the Z had on Nissan and the Supra on Toyota before.
90% of the time a Toyota or Lexus are at the forefront of a traffic jam or just holding everybody up.

Let's put this into perspective.
The LF-A was an AMAZING car, cost up to 2 1/2 times other supercars, with every car sold was at a loss. I've only seen 1 LF-A on the roads and that was because it was at a fundraising exotic car drive. I saw 2 Veyrons in the same event (AMG GT, Lambo's & Fararri's I see regularly).
Lexus cars are extremely well made, reliable and competent vehicles. Nothing really exciting about them though. Unfortunately, it's only the US market that they sell well in.
The last Supra was really, really good. But at the end of it's production cost too much and sold poorly.
Now they are thinking about a new car priced in the Hypercar class? If this makes it to production, it'll definitely be limited numbers.
I'll give it 2 model years max (I think I'm being generous by a year).

Got to hand it to Toyota – they can even make a hypercar butt ugly.
