Model 3 Autopilot Tested At Speed On A Winding Road - Uses Every Inch Of The Lane To Do It

Scott Kubo demonstrated a 10-mile run of the Tesla Model 3 with Autopilot engaged at a decent speed of 50-60 mph on the winding state route 79.

It beeped a couple times and touched the bumps on the median, but still a big improvement over a year ago. I only planning to use AP on divided freeways until HW3 is available.

What you see in the video... NO OTHER CAR CAN DO RIGHT NOW. Propilot, Supercruise, and MB Lane Keeping will all give up on a road like that. Do your research.

Overall pretty impressive, but a safe driver would never approach some of those blind curves on an unfamiliar road at those speeds and they certainly wouldn't be all over the lane hitting the rumble strips on either side going through them.

Let me sum this up - Tesla AutoPilot works until it doesn't - and they you are dead or chopped in half as the vehicle hits the firetruck or slides under a semi.
