Mahindra Doesn't Understand Why Jeep Is Upset At The Roxor- Care To Enlighten Them?

India's Mahindra and Mahindra is seeking an injunction against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to stop FCA from proceeding with a patent violation complaint aimed at stopping Mahindra from exporting a Jeep-like vehicle to the U.S.

Fiat Chrysler filed a trade complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission on Aug. 1 seeking to prevent Mahindra from importing the Roxor in to the U.S., an off-road vehicle that looks like the Jeep.

Although Foncool mentions the suit by GM - the specifics of the suit should be disclosed. THe fact is FCA does not own any Trademark on the original Jeep styling - their product is based on a vehicle that was commissioned for the US military-the styling is owned by the US Government - and the GM suit showed that FCA has no claim to that styling.

In addition - the vehicle that Mahindra is projecting is not a road going vehicle as well. I do not see why FCA is wasting money on lawyers when they KNOW they have no case - based on their loss to GM about Hummer.

Most people don't realize that Mahindra is a 19 Billion dollar company. Win, lose or draw I don't think anyone is going to be wiping the floors with them.
