TEASED + VIDEO! The Very FIRST Official Look At The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Is BRIEF
I wonder if Mercedes-Benz is acting fast since the overall reception to its EQC was a bit chilly.

Whatever the case, we have some good news after seeing its EV sport-utility vehicle. That's because the German luxury auto manufacturer has released a clip of its all-new GLE-Class. This is a highly anticipated SUV as the three-pointed star sells many of the current-gen GLE.

This is pretty astounding given the GLE is a rather dated vehicle in the Mercedes portfolio. What can we say? People love it!

Something tells us this is going to be even more loved, however. That's because the all-new generation will make use of the latest Mercedes technology and powerplants. Styling is expected to evolve and fall into line with the latest from the team.

This teaser, which is only a few seconds long, provides us with a masked image of its "face," and a flicker of its LED lights. It's not much but expect more to come this week.

Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser of the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE. The teaser only shows the GLE's new face, but we can expect more teasers soon.

They already basically revealed it...its going to look like the EQC minus the funky front end.

The EQC uses the same basic platform in order to cut costs as other Mercedes models so the GLE will be similar sausage. Upscale soccer moms will likely be very pleased with the reveal.

So, your Andrew Christians are in a knot because Mercedes designed their EV to be able to be built in their factories without having to gut and remodel the factory? Of course, you clearly have not bothered to look at the photo of the chassis because one look at it will show you that this is NOT a shared chassis. The placement of the components allows an EV to be built on the same line as ICE products.

All the Major manufacturers are consolidating their "Platforms" down a a few scalable ones on which many different vehicles will be based - Toyota, VW, and GM have already announced and have already put some in production. This is simply how it will be and does not reflect on the actual vehicles that will use those platforms. For years - GM used two Full Size platforms for its cars - Using one for Chevy/Pontiac/BuickSpecial/Olds88 -and another for Cadillac/Olds98/Electra. Today - VW uses the same platform for the A8 and the Panamera -and will use it for some Bentleys too.

I will even expect the New Mid-Engine Corvette platform to eventually spawn a product for Cadillac too.
