MORE Pics From The Launch Of The Audi e-tron SUV — MORE Details, FIRST Look At Interior...
And the pictures just keep on flowing.

As is standard operating procedure for the Agents, we made sure to detail every nook and cranny of the all-new Audi e-tron SUV. If you're going to do something, might as well do it right. Although there were some challenges tonight, we worked around them.

Audi e-tron SUV

Take, for example, the locked vehicles on display tonight. Regardless of that, we were able to provide two snaps of its interior. Largely inspired by today's Audi interiors, the e-tron SUV's cockpit gets a slight evolution with some cool details here and there (e.g., the orange stitching to make the seats pop).

One series of photos showcases the all-new e-tron SUV bathed in blue; however, I think I am more intrigued by the flat, vanilla-painted vehicle on display. Note the yellow brake calipers peeking out from the turbine-style wheels.

Also note the side view mirrors, which have been replaced by cameras instead.

Is someone excited over the launch of this vehicle? Seriously 3 consecutive stories posted on the same vehicle launch seems a bit much. It's an ok looking SUV but does not really stand out on the exterior. I will be interested to see how the all electric works out for Audi.

The junket must have had a lot of alcohol and "personal consultants" is what I'm thinking.

This is an OK looking vehicle, but it does not stand out from other Audi crossovers and it needed to.

Let’s look at important details gleaned from the PR event. $90k. Limited manufacturing. $1000 Deposit. No firm ETA on delivery. 200 mile range EPA. Compromised cross-platform sharing with ICE cars, and it shows in the low range and not-so-great 0-60 of 5.5 sec, and that ridiculous Start/Stop button. ...clueless. . No on-board charger, you have to buy a seperate outboard charger that isn’t even as good as the on-board chargers currently on all Teslas. I can’t stress enough how important Tesla’s good quality onboard charger is. 3rd party charging that can just rape you on $$$ cost. Some 3rd party charging companies just bend you over at 3x or more the cost of charging at home. Tesla Superchargers according to company policy are not a profit center and are in line with the local rates. Looks like the new German offerings can’t even match American EV’s that are years old now. Just wait when Tesla reveals the Model Y soon. That will show how far ahead the Americans really are.

If the last unveils of the German Big 3: EQC, e-tron and iNEXT are all they can show for, then we will spend the next 5 years talking about Tesla the 800-lbs gorilla in the EV world. Other than the iNEXT's big promises on the battery tech and still nothing to show for the next several years, both the EQC and e-tron fall short on performance, range and charging.

Like @rockreid said, they're still stuck with the "Start/Stop Button" - but I'm sure folks will continue to be enamored by the buttons, knobs and leather seats.

Porsche Taycan, a street version of the gorgeous Mission-E, seems like a good prospect until the Model 3 Performance (M3P) shows up. Still 2 years from release and with big dreams, the Taycan is already way behind the M3P of today. Even without knowing the price of the Taycan, I am already disappointed with Porsche.

haven't even discussed dealer markup yet. Individual Audi dealers will be eager to slap a typical $5000-$10,000 up-charge on the few units they can get their hands on. I really am shocked at the utter failure by all the Germans to come up with a true EV competitor. They have let their laziness and greed in engineering ICE cars into Ev's get the best of themselves.

Meh, nothing that special here. Tepid design. Tepid performance, both range and acceleration. Benz EQC wins the Germans right now, but Model X is still looking like the ideal one to have.

The Model X isn't even the true competitor. The upcoming Model Y 5 seat Tesla SUV is. And that will be revealed around March 2019, right around the time other Evs are expected.. Elon said they expect Model Y demand to be even more than the Model 3. You can be sure the Model Y will start well under anything from Jaguar or the Germans, probably starting at $45k or so. And let's not even get into any Trump Tariffs that seem to be getting more and more serious by the minute.

UBS just published a report admitting the eTron and other Ev's are way behind Tesla:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/ubs-says-audi-apos-electric-120300001.html

And UBS is short Tesla stock. Bet they really hated yesterday's reveal.

UBS wrote a pretty poor analysis. Range for the e-Tron is longer than a Model X 75D. Audi buyers will still have the full tax credit next year. Prestige Edition which is very, very well optioned is $82k (75k after fed credit). Plus way higher build quality and much better dealer network.

This is one of many nails that will be hammered into Tesla's coffin.

Model Y? What a joke. Telsa doesn't have funds to make it's upcoming debt payments through January, so it surely cannot build a few billion dollar factory.

imho tesla will introduce modelY as model x is axed, it will probably be just a model x without the retard doors.

This is the start of Tesla's fight for survival. The Audi eTron offers a much wider dealership network, much better reliability, equal or better technology, longer range and huge competition. The Jaguar iPace and upcoming all-ev models from Mercedes-Benz and Porsche will further add to the competition.
