Ferrari To Call Upcoming SUV The Purosanque - Will It Transform The Brand?
Ferrari will call its upcoming crossover the Purosangue (Italian for thoroughbred), and it'll arrive by the end of 2022, according to info from the Italian brand's future product roadmap. Be careful calling it an SUV around new company CEO Louis Carey Camilleri, though. "That word, I do not want to hear it in the same phrase as Ferrari," he said during the presentation.

RONZINO more appropriate and easier to pronounce and remember!

THere is no reason for Ferrari to produce such a vehicle - it already has a huge lead over ALL car manufacturers for profit per car -and it also LIMITS car production to maintain high vehicle demand and prices.

So - the only reason I can think of - is that they want to offer a competitor to all those other high end offerings coming out.

I suspect the car is an evolution/replacement for the FF/GTC4 Lusso

OK. I was thinking GTC4Lusso - extended & raised, but not too much. I can't imaging Ferrari wasting time making an SUV/CUV for off-roading.

This will be a GC SRT Trackhawk/Durango SRT Demon upstaging vehicle.

The concept pic from the Motor1 site looks interesting.

I'd have suggested Puromerda.

A sedan with a touch more room than the Lusso is not an SUV or a Crossover. It is a 5 door hatchback sedan. I doubt this car will have any useful room for luggage either. The name is beyond brutal. Hopefully, it will start with a GT suffix.

Which name is better?

Urus
Bentayga
Cullinan (my choice - really it just works for brand, right)
Purosanque

None of them sound sexy or particularly smooth & aggressive at all. What does "Puro" mean? Pure? We'll see, my friends. I just hope exterior proportions are descent.

Puro does mean pure and Purosanque as in pure blooded thoroughbred horse.
